Just heard the news that Liz Dawn (aka Vera Duckworth from Corrie) passed away last night.  One of the Corrie legends.  RIP Liz.

    I think she'd been ill for sometime Millie. frown

    She had sadly, chronic emphysema from years of heavy smoking, first brought to light in a documentary when she was aged 65. At the time I remember thinking she has weeks, poor girl, but to live on a further 12 years is somewhat incredible given how she looked.
