Yes Hallsontour.  I would love one of the new Fiat 500s.  They are a very different vehicle to the original one that I had.

It's still rather cloudy here, so we might postpone our garden visit to another day when there's a bit more sun. Autumn colours always look best on a sunny day against the backdrop of a blue sky.

I've just been to reception to collect my newspaper with its magazine, so I've got plenty of reading to do, if we do decide to spend the day on site today.

We plan to go to Tesco this evening for another bit of food shopping and maybe use the Shogun for that to keep the battery active, hopefully!

You're getting there Malcsmile, it was never going to be a short recuperating process. You'll get there, no worries.

A busy few hours so far.

Normal milking/feeding/mucking out etc then bacon sandwiches for breakfast.

Then the team from B4RN arrived to blow the fibre into our house (and our son's next door). By the end of next week we will be able to access Hyperfast broadband (1000 Mbps) - subject to subscribing of course. We'll be waiting until the end of our BT contract. Look at the website and see what local communities can do, thanks to volunteers and landowners.

Meanwhile a few beef calves were collected by a local farmer (to grow on for their farm shop and cafe).

But tonight sees the start of our Autumn nights out. We don't book tickets for Gigs in summer in case of silaging etc, but have a full calendar to look forward to over the next few months. In fact, 13 before Christmas.

Tonight it's Merry Hell at Kendal Brewery Arts Centre. I hope my legs can cope with a standing (and dancing) gig.

We've been delayed going out, extra dog has arrived so we'll have to take him with us to see my Mum. The dogs usually get people chatting in the care home so it will be ok to take two of them yet again.

We have superfast broadband in half our village Goldie, unfortunately not our half, bad phone signals for some too.

I've got hooked on watching This Farming Life....I think I know why you need a ceilidh or two after all the hard work. wink

Another N/T property knocked off the list!!  After a damp start the weather finally picked up. We went to Llanerchaeron near Aberaeron. Went for an hour's walk along the woodland paths before lunch then visited the house, a John Nash modified old Mansion, which has been left to reflect the last owners style of life. Then a wander through the large walled garden and the old farm buildings.

Stopped off for another walk along the old railway line towards Areraeron before heading back to the van. One more day here in West Wales.

We've got up to a nice sunny morning, blue sky and sunshine, no clouds. We've already had two cups of tea and some cereal.

Looks like a nice day here in Durham so we're off to do a treasure trail around Seaham today. I don't know if anyone else has used this company but for around £6 you get a 'guided' walk around a town or city with loads of great things to see pointed out as well as a little local history. My daughter got us on to them from her Brownie group that she runs. Go to treasuretrails.co.uk and have a look. Has anyone else used these?

We'll hopefully get a nice pub lunch in a dog freindly place along the way 😊

Absolutely, triky auto! Nothing like home cooked food, we do it all the time! It saves cost as well. Eating out can be quite expensive!

We may not be able to get away in the caravan, but we do get out and enjoy ourselves as much as possible.

Following on from the Merry Hell gig last night (well worth catching live if they come your way), we're off out again tonight. To one of our favourite restaurants. It's only small but serves wonderful food, so you have to book. Tonight is one of their special nights. A Tasting Menu. This time celebrating food from the Yorkshire Dales.

    Details HERE

    So a night off cooking!

I'm not doing a lot - putting my feet up and reading, while my husband is litter picking at Westmorland Showground. One of the perks of being on the board. In between milkings of course.

We visited Parham House and Gardens this afternoon. At least we tried to, except there was an event on, so the house and gardens were not open to HHA today. So we confined ourselves to a drive around the estate. There was a huge amount of parkland and lots of people visiting.

After that we went on to West Dean Gardens, following various diversions because of road closures in the area around Parham. However, it was worth it because the gardens were well worth visiting. There were many flowers and plants plus a kitchen garden with a huge variety of vegetables and greenhouses with all kinds of plants. There was some lovely parkland all around with views and sheep grazing on the hills. There were nicely laid out paths with benches to sit on and a picnic table and chairs. The car park was a little narrow for manoeuvring the Shogun but we plan to visit again. Next time we'll take the Smart car which will be easier to manoeuvre with its power steering and tight turning circle. There was a restaurant, shop and tea room there too.

The weather stayed dry throughout the afternoon but it got progressively more overcast as time went on. After we left to return back to our caravan, we eventually joined the A27 from Chichester towards Arundel. We got stuck in traffic on the approach to Arundel.

After we arrived back at our caravan it started raining and has been doing so ever since. We had our evening meal in the caravan after which I had a short nap before waking up just now to post on here.

Went to see the site where the last Dragon in Wales was killed!! Had a wander along the river past the castle and through the town. Then drove over to Aberporth for another short walk, getting back to the van just before it started to rain again. That's been the story of this trip so far.yell

    smile

It's not really a holiday as more to do sadly with a legal inheritance.

You shouldn't rely on google translate BB - it's giorno lento, also you should have used vostra vancanza. You only use tu with family and friends (that used to really bug me when growing up living there as there's only a you in English so I used to get told off a lot and couldn't understand why) but as you used it first I accept your offer of friendship.

    I appreciate the post.

I've just woken up to a rather grey, dismal, wet morning here in Worthing. It's raining as I type this and I can hear it pattering on the roof. So no plans to go out anywhere today.

We've just had breakfast. It was cereal of Weetabix with Sultanas for starters followed by a bacon and egg toasted sandwich. We also had a pot of tea to go with it.

It's still pouring with rain as I type this. There's no sign of it stopping yet. We watched ITV breakfast tv. At least the dark dismal weather outside made the tv screen look brighter. No need to close the blinds to see the screen. The weather has done it for us! Just 12 hours of daylight today, sunrise 06:52 and sunset 18:52.

I'll probably be spending some of the morning in the awning, reading the papers. Then maybe see if there's something worth watching on tv.

Pretty similar here near Leek. We have been lucky so far in our decisions. Popping over to Buxton today. Weather likely to be drizzly I think.
