Helen, it seems a very nice site, facilities are to the usual Club standard, pitches are spacious and reasonably level in the main.  Very quiet as a bit off the main road.  Very narrow entrance  lane, but wide enough for a large van or MH, and traffic lights to tell you when to enter/leave, so no danger of meeting anyone.

If you follow the route instructions you will be OK, sat nav will send you a not so good way.

Main roads are narrowish and twisty, but we had no problems.

In October, you would want to be on a HS, but I would think by then the grass pitches would not be in use.  You might want to check that first.

We have a "sun room" at the front, south facing, it used to be an open terrace in front of the lounge, but we had it built in 10 years back.  The lounge is much warmer in winter now.

The sun room gets very warm when the sun comes on it, so we use a fan to circulate the warm air through the lounge and into the north facing kitchen, like you, we found the natural circulation was insufficient.

It works surprisingly well, have you tried using a fan in that way?

In mid summer it is really hot out there, but then we open a window to allow some slightly cooler air to be drawn in from  outside.

cool Turned out a lovely sunny Autumn day here in East Kent.Been working on a couple of small generators all day ,non starters, pesky things, worse than outboards !! undecided. The toll in the Faversham fire stands now at two workshops, including tools and machinery, eight boat right-off's and more damaged .One Male individual is behind bars charged with arson. He set light to his own boat in protest at having to pay storage fee's,so I.m told .!!Rather than have the boat confiscated for the due's !!surprised. Therefore with the stiff N.W wind ,all hell broke loose taking other casualties with it.Good job nobody was asleep on any of their boats/projects as some do.!!Could have been even worse .

Not tired a fan I must admit. Generally if it's that warm you can open the door to outside, but cools down too rapidly with current outdoor temperatures 😲.

Gone grey and even more chilly so now in the house proper and the heating is taking the chill off the radiators 😲. Certainly a day of 2 halves!

Nice to catch up with friends this afternoon but briefer as they had 2nd walk into town after solicitors left a message when they returned 😂

Means they can relax whilst away next week as his late fathers estate much tidier.

All four of them have scrubbed up well Goldie! Enjoyed your post. smile

We're travelling south now, on a nice CL farm site in Cheshire with some Holstein heifers just over the fence. There is a grey amongst them  so maybe they are a mix? Can't remember where the grey colouring comes from.

Tired after long delays/accident on the M6, much longer journey than planned.

Gosh what a mess and thankfully no loss of life. So much to sort out for those who've lost their property.

B2. Just an overnight stop, very pleasant here. The heifers are apparently new arrivals, it's been nice watching them. We are very close to where some of my family lived, my cousin went to school in Sandbach so it's familiar territory, lush green Cheshire farmland. Will do a review later, seems like a well liked CL and it's full. I looked for Goldie's girls near Killington! smile

Started out overcast and even a dribble of rain first thing, however the evening looks much better with a nice looking sunset just starting. We have moved all of 18 miles along the coast, took 30 mins.

Not on a beach site this time but a river site, with the coast 1.5km away. First 2 sites we tried were full surprised rather annoying as we phoned yesterday afternoon to the first site to check if there was spaces to be told yes plenty no need to reserve pitch yell now at our 3rd choice and got last available space although there are empty spots, so assume reserved. Not sure how long we well stay depends on how noisy it is tonight, I'm  not good with noisy sites frown the site is ok. Not sure if we should have gone to Spain undecided the sites here that are open are all busy, might have to move back up country to get quieter sites. Weather appears to be better over the next week, guess that's  why sites are busy here with all the rain in the rest of France.

Kj you've not been very lucky with the weather so far hope it gets better for you soon.

Brue, glad you had a good time up north, safe journey home.

All those away this weekend hope you  have a good time.

Tg the sites have been full in Scotland except Banchory, we watched people being turned away elsewhere. Glad you finally found somewhere.

Surprised that Banchory was not full, last time we were there in September it was fully booked almost the whole week.

Sitting in the West Midlands, Halesowen area, sunshine and rain from time to time. Still got a good 6 mile walk in with a super pub 1/2 way round. Got back and rain is seemingly now settling in for the evening

Looks as if we've been fortunate at Ellesmere. Had a 3+hr walk along the Llangollen Canal in beautiful sunshine. Lots of Butterflies and a few Drangonflies about. Came back to the van with about 2 lbs of wild damsons....cooked for 9 mins in the microwave and they'll do for our desert for a few nights this week.

After a nice evening we are now back to the frequent deluges.  I don't think we have had a trip with so much heavy rain for many years.

My jeans have however finally dried out.

OH has been to the information room, so we now have a plan for our 4 days here, weather permitting!

what is the insignia on your boy's ties?.

It's the Dairy Shorthorn Society showing uniform - navy trousers, white shirt and Dairy Shorthorn tie - red and white cow.

Site has quietened down at last but as its Friday night the young ones are out and about on their scooters, mopeds and motorbikes. After having the last week on a beach site with very little road noise I'd  forgotten how much noise these flippin things make.

Hope  tomorrow is good weather so we can get out on the bikes to explore the area.

Sigh....another wet and miserable day here in south Cornwall.  frown

The heavy downpours have been almost continuous since we got up, and there was also a lot of rain overnight.

The forecast is for it to dry up later,so we may venture out after lunch.

The pitches here are a good size, usual layout of car/van/awning.....so why has the caravanner opposite us decided this morning to park his car across the front of his van?

The site roads are very narrow, his rear wheel is about 1 inch off the road, so the bodywork must be overhanging the road.  Departing caravans and  MHs are having to slow down to negotiate the obstruction.  I think this is the site with the narrowest roads I have seen for a long time.

When we do go out it will not be easy for us to drive off our pitch as his car is now directly opposite our car.  Our van is long, so even with it right back to the grass, the hitch is not far off the road.  Oh well, we will just have to drive on the grass over his side if necessary, there is plenty of it here!

KjellNN you really aren't seeing the west Country at its best 😔.  Not to concern you but I believe there is a yellow weather warning for wind the sw 😲. May that be why the car has been parked that way?

Bright sunshine here one minute filthy black clouds the next here. Drying bedding at present and continually poised to grab it in.

No plans for the day, just looked to see what happening locally,  not inspired 😔. Really undecided for afternoon plans. Weather not inspiring in the least! Might just hunker down with a good book but would like to get out and about 😉

Thanks for the information KjellNN, we liked the look of the site, but it looked a bit remote. We have been trying to decide between Merrose and Treamble where we went last October.
