What are you all up to

Turned my back for few seconds OH on the shed roof trimming conifer where it goes over next door. They're away. They don't garden much and 15 years of good neighbourliness disappeared when the husband told me to go away in most impolite terms when their extenstion builders removed, without permission, our fence panels to get their ladders up easier equipment moving. Too windy in my opinion and he's just had 6 injections for tooth root removal 😤

It can be hard work keeping friendly with some neighbours B2.
We get on with both sides of us but both our neighbours don't get on with those on the other side of them.
We are like piggy in the middle trying to keep the peace.
I hope the OH is ok on that shed roof.

So do I 😃.
Yes never had a neighbour problem anywhere we've lived until about 17 years ago. Quite interesting if he comes out when we are in the front garden/pull up in the car at the same time etc. He scuttles about like a naughty schoolboy 😂😂. Luckily the kids had outgrown playing in each other gardens by then. An apology would have gone a long way but never happened. Why do people assume because you're easy going you can be walked over? Asking before the event would have been fine but to be told by the contractors oh he said it would be OK followed by a foul mouth by himself😤😤. Goose well and truly cooked.
Luckily they seem to have alienated the rest of the neighbours so no need to keep the peace.

Back using our 3 wifi as cannot get onto Club website yet again. We got turfed off around 10 last night and have been unable to reconnect since. Even tried just after midnight.
Wind died down a bit about 3 am so we did get some sleep eventually. We seem to have escaped any damage, and all units on site are still upright!
Some very heavy rain this morning, and still quite breezy, going out soon to Boscastle.

I'm thinking, now, of joining Malcolm M in a Refreshing & Calming Cup of tea !!
Loading the 'van this morning for a week away in Thetford at the Club site when the Postman called me. He handed me a rather soggy brown envelope & said "Good Luck" !!
Did a couple more trips loading then stopped for lunch & read the post. It was the 3 -- yearly Driving Licence paperwork. The latest version allows me to do it on line in, allegedly, 15 minutes. Well there was certainly a 15 in there somewhere, I have to say but I reckon there was a 1. in front of it!
At least I'm now cleared to continue driving until the replacement arrives !! The best part of it is I'm just three weeks inside the time limit for my expired Passport -- jammy or what.?? I decided not to renew the passport since there won't be any border posts oop north well not in the forseeable future anyway !
Best Wishes to you all, I'm off for that cuppa & a lie down Bieeee.

Enjoy your cup of tea, A B M Brian, I've just had mine after waking up from my afternoon nap.
I spent two hours in the out-patients this morning, most of the time spent in the waiting room. They took another x-ray and eventually the doctor saw me to tell me that the fractures were only minor ones which will continue to heal, so no need for any further appointments. So the nurse removed my bandages and put splints on instead. I can remove them to wash or shower and then put them back on again. She also said I would need to remove them if I drive.
I can now use my hands from time to time to carry out some tasks but was told to stop as soon as there is any pain or discomfort. They reckon after two weeks, I may not need the splints any longer.

Beautiful morning, after a very windy night, a few branches, and lots of conkers had been blown down in the park, collected a few when walking the dog. Went to the retail park for some retail therapy before work, bagged few bargains.
Pleased your hands are better Malcolm.

HelenandTrevor what is it about conkers that make us pick them up? I never played conkers after getting my fingers hurt. OH is terrible bringing pockets full back from walks and talking about cheesers vinegar and baking them. Even better news on bargains, but you can only call them that IF you needed the items 😉😉
Malcolm glad you hands are recovering. Exercising them will be good for less muscle wastage.
Nice day here interdispersed with very heavy blustery showers. Very black again at present.
Wishing you a peaceful quiet night tonight if you're out in your caravan.

Oh I'm sorry Artyboo, won't do his confidence much good. However it can now really be a new beginning. Keep your chins (thats both of you not the double one!) up.
I hope that generally you are stepping forward however slowly.

Thanks Bakers.
He is too young at 53 to be written off, having served in the Navy then into a land based uniform service. We have no idea what (if any benefits) he might be 'entitled' to having worked all our lives and never having to claim before. We have his Pension now which will help 😬. Onwards and upwards; fresh start. Here we go.

Sorry to hear your news artyboo, hopefully it will be a new beginning.
Hope he enjoyed his pasty.

Bakers : I just love conkers, OH gets really fed up with me at this time of year. Don't do anything with them, but they are very tactile.

Not written off at all. Claim whatever you can you've paid in you can draw out. It won't be easy as they ensure it isn't 😉. Try the local Citizens Advice Bureau to make sure you are applying for everything.
A new exciting world is in front of you - not the one you'd envisaged by any means but an opportunity to explore together and you've learnt a valuable lesson, this isn't a trial run 😉.
We've been somewhere similar, and are living again. Importantly were together and loving it (well most of the time!)

Lovely afternoon spent at the pool sunbathing and swimming, just what the doctor ordered
Horrible wind now dropped so we put the canopy out for a bit of shade although its only required for a short while as the trees give us good spots to sit in.
Bakers, we have been to Malta on many occasions mainly for scuba diving/holidays this will be the first time to visit the kids though. Its been about 8 years since we were last there so expect to see some improvements with all that lovely EU money they have had
Glad the weather back home is improving.
H&T I love conkers too, can't help picking them up. We are both guilty of trying to pick the biggest

Now really jealous Tammygirl over the weather you're having. On the local forecast tonight they said last year today was hottest September day for 100 years 34.4c - today in the rain at Cambridge 14c 😲😲😲. This time last year we were flying home from NZ. I expect you'll see changes in Malta, EU money flowing in.

Thanks, H&T. However, I still get some pain but hopefully that will soon go.

Thanks, Bakers2. Yes, it's a relief to be able to use my hands again even if it is only for short periods of time before having to rest them again.
