Cleaning the Grill Compartment/Pan

What have people found to be a good but not aggressive product for cleaning their grill compartment and pan.

Ours is now getting ready for a slightly more deeper clean.

    We don't use our grill, except for keeping things warm. However, in the oven we have occasionally used the same cleaner we use at home. I would not call that non aggressive. It is a gel type you wipe on and leave and the shelves go in a bag for a few hours. I am not sure the non aggressive types would be much good. With the oven we minimise cleaning by using roasting bags. Not an option of course in the grill.😂

    Any moveable bits like shelves and pans I occasionally put in the dishwasher at home. I only use the grill for toast or warming things like croissants and the oven I tend to cover things with foil if needed. Otherwise I'd probably use similar products to home, or try a bit first to see if it was ok.

    Like Steve, we don;t use it and our grill pan from our present van is still in it's plastic wrapper. We did use the grill on our first van in 1999 but found it so messy and hard to clean it and the compartment afterwards that we never bothered again. When they make a dishwasher for caravans (powered by a SP rechargeable double A battery of course) then maybe it will come out of its wrapper.)

    You could take the easy way out and buy a new grill pan from the dealer? Towsure have them too.

    I simply use a household cream cleaner a couple of times a year and other times soap and water.

    We don't use the grill but make quite a lot of use of the oven. We have our house oven professionally cleaned once or twice a year and we ask the chap to put all the shelves in his tank to give them a good clean. Last year we got him to clean the whole oven and it came up very well.

    Interesting how we all do different things isn't it :).  I'll see what I can get today out and about.  It's the enamel pan and the compartment that require TLC.  The chrome bit has come up quite well.

    Try Fairy Power Spray, that's what I use. I tend to turn the grill on for a few minutes to get everything warm, then give them a good spray and leave for about 15 mins, good rub over with a brillo/metal scrunchie thing then wash off. Don't use it on the metal inside casing just on the grill pan and trivet.
