Why do you go And ask?   I just pull up, lift the cylinder out and fill it.  Never had anyone come out to stop me and sometimes they comment about me filling a cylinder given the low amount of the bill

Good question MDD once I have more practice in I would do that I think.  I KNOW it's safe and if they are in Calors pocket - too bad!  I have only needed to do mine once as the others fills have been done by the shop.

Mdd10....I appreciate what you are saying but you have misunderstood what I was saying..I have no trouble filling up at a garage only one mile from my house...I just wanted to try and force it out in the open at Morrison's where I shop , to see if they will consider changing their policy so that others can do it in the open without having to be underhand...maybe I was wrong in my thoughts but I thought it was worth trying...David

It was well worth the try tigerman well done.  I can fill up at the caravan shop just a few miles from my normal shopping haunts in Lincoln but it would be even easier to use a Shell garage closer.  Although thinking about it the caravan shop probably needs our support more.

I am a bit surprised at Morrisons digging in their heels I thought they championed the rights of "the under dog" if you see what I mean.  Perhaps we could petition them and threaten a boycott on the store?

Morrisons are looking at Safefill at the moment. They are fully aware of the changes in the Red Guide. I am sure that they will come out soon and accept Safefill  as fillable on their forecourts. I have done exactly the same in the past- made it look like I was filling the car when in actuality I was filling my Safefill. Hopefully, we won't have to do that again!

We can all push this- email the customer service at Morrisons- do your bit!

Is it a long term cure or just a temporary palliative?
