Hope all goes well for your birthday celebrations, KjellNN.
I had horrible driving conditions for yesterday's evening at work. Rain and darkness together, flooding on some roads, a triple whammy! It was very busy too. Non-stop deliveries right up to 23:30. I finally got home just before midnight, parked the car in the car park and walked back to the caravan in the rain and through soggy grass.
We then had dinner and finally got to bed at about 01:30 a.m.
It's back to work again tonight from 17:30 to 22:00. Day off tomorrow!
Thursday is our moving day for two nights at Lancing Fruit Farm. It's also a day off from work but I'll be working Wednesday.

Happy birthday Kj hope you've had a good day.
Good weather today warmer and sunny, took awhile to get there but it was worth it quite chilly tonight though.
Been a busy old day with lots of admin sorted, lots of phone calls made. Three loads of washing done and dried outside. Started putting things in the m/h, bit of food shopping needed and some meals to prepare to take with us.
Builder didn't manage to come and fit the Velux today as the windows were not delivered until this afternoon, so tomorrow they will be getting done.
Had a lovely afternoon with the family yesterday, gosh they are growing so tall, I might just be a bit bias but they are pretty good looking kids, my gran daughter is going to break some hearts some day.

Thanks again for all the Birthday Wishes.
We had a delicious meal of home made lasagne.....long time since OH has made lasagne......with enough ingredients left over to fill another 2 dishes which are now in the freezer for another 2 meals each later. Stonebaked garlic bread on the side.
And for dessert we had Tiramisu, courtesey of Lidl.
All washed down with a bottle of sparkling white non alcoholic wine.
Off to bed soon.

Well late last year we decided to seriously think about selling large motorhome for smaller one , we did 6 mths old baileys lovely van ,but after 2mths noticed very soft floor , yes the dreaded DAMP !! anyway after lots of hassle. solicitors ect finally got our full refund
Then we decided to sit on the money ( completely out of character for me ) as we had a very nice caravan thought let's put it on a seasonal pitch , so we did 😱 Different neighbours every week some good some bad , similar to touring , but after 3mths felt we were in prison 😱 So not for us, so yes sold caravan , now at this moment we have nothing 😱 Have now decided to buy another motorhome 😃😋 so for two weeks we have been very busy looking ,
we have decided on a hightop van type but it must have the two long sofas at the rear / single bed type ,

Getting VERY frustrated. Trying to remove the covers to change our light bulbs to LED. Had done the spot ones a few years back but now want to change all.
Got two like this, one off and changed and the other sticking somewhere but can't work out where frightened if breaking it.
And the ceiling ones look like this.

Hello Ruby nice to catch up with your news. Hope you find a van you like, we enjoyed our high top van, would happily go back to something similar. Let us know how you get on!
Bakers2, good luck with light fittings. We're partially LED, have never gone the full whack.
We were out at NT Barrington Court again this morning. Taking books to the second book barn, that makes a change, I resisted bringing more home. I was worried that one nice big art book damaged on the outside would not be any good. But it was happily accepted for the damaged book area.
Then we did the usual coffee and cake bit and a rare stroll around the empty house. There is a clever holographic barn owl film in the long gallery. Worth seeing.
The flower borders have really taken off too. Spot the butterflies!

I've cracked the ceiling ones 😆. Isn't it always the way? Been messing about for an hour or more before posting, resumed the task and they popped out. Just wanted to make my look silly 😭.
Himself has attended to the other one bigger problem now it's apart but not showing light bulb that's enclosed in the bit that he's removed 😤😤😤. So glad it wasn't me 😂😂

Brue can only see whites on 3rd one when I enlarge. Are there others or are you commenting on the lack of them?
I bought some very cheap LED bulbs from eBay, they look OK and are working OK too. I'll be keeping the original ones as spares just in case. Mind you I'll be back to trying to figure out how to remove the covers- nothing stays like it used to 😢😉

Lovely photos brue, I envy your close proximity to BC! (Mind you, some nice places up near us a well!)
We haven't done too badly for butterflies this year, usual Whites, some Brimstones, little blue ones, Red Admirals, Peacocks and a Comma! But the more common ones have been down a touch on numbers.

Thank you EasyT, would like to find something very quick , but it's also exciting looking again , 🎉
Hello again Cyber , no sorry have not read anything off Lordy for a very long timec☹️, hope he and his lady are both well , perhaps someone off the face book group have have knowledge if it's still going
Hello brue , and thanks for your reply , think this size van will be perfect now , can park at home saving on storage fees , hopefully easier to get round parking ect, great for long day trips , and when on site quick to pack up and go site seeing no more hiring a car for longer stays on site , although we did like using public transport and bikes , but not always convenient ,

Welcome back, roobz, always good to hear again from some of the originals!
We're down in Cornwall for a fortnight. We were due to come down on Sunday, but since we always get blamed on site for bringing poor weather with us we decided to leave it 24 hours. And it certainly paid off because we've had two glorious days so far. Mrs M has already been down surfing with the tough guys - as for me and the dogs, we've stuck to dry land walking some of the coastal path. Planning to visit Lanhydrock tomorrow - we've never been for all the years we've spent down here. Just looking to get a walk organised while we take it in turns to mooch round the house and gardens!

Thank you mousley , how are your dogs , I think the last time I was on here , you had a new lad and am I right one never settled to well 🤔
Hope you enjoy Cornwall , love the place but have not been for a few yrs , if all goes well it will be the first place we plan to go , but any delays finding the right van will have to postpone until next year

I remember Cornwall for the King Harry ferry and the National Trust property next to it. Lovely house and gardens with views. Also St Michaels Mount.
