Is there 2 Countrys called France?, one that closes for 3hr lunches & one that covers meal times with staff-I'm confused 😐

Some of the municipal sites we have stopped on have been 100 plus pitches and the barrier has remained firmly closed at lunch, which if a Sunday can stretch for at least 3 hours. I agree the commercial sites do usually populate the office, however not always in off peak season. As AD says you can of course arrive before 12, however due to the distance of our moves we usually fail. ☹️

Personally I like our system here. No guess work invoved. Just don't turn up before earliest check in time.😀The sites that close between 12 and 1 pm I think run on one set of wardens. I don't think it unreasonable they should be given a break. Makes for a happier workforce.

I do, thankfully the numerous Hotels I use are staffed 24/7. Thanks for the reply but not really helpful

I just duck under the barrier and ask one of the residents for the barrier code.
I did that at Loupian municipal site when the lady had gone home for lunch. Half an hour later I found some Brits waiting patiently outside, so told them the code, but they were too law abiding to use it and go in. Perhaps Club members?

I have been on some ungated non-facility sites where anybody arriving (probably after 1.30) would have seen a note on the wardens door saying to pitch up. On one occasion I know that the wardens had gone off to do a weekly shop mid week. Only reasonable really.

We do currently have information that we send to dealers and we ask them to let us know when this needs to be re-stocked. However, we do appreciate and realise that we need to be in more regular contact with dealers and provide them with more detailed information. This is something we are looking to improve in the future as we want to encourage and help new caravanners and motorhomers, and we appreciate your feedback and suggestions supporting this requirement
