Try Saga insurance for pick up truck,  Towergate insurance for Caravan , ADAC for breakdown/recovery, and then Google for long stay single trip personal medical cover - usually listed as Backpacker Policies.

Have you contacted the Club insurance people to check to see if they will cover?

I'm afraid I didn't realise the Club insurances could cover a full year out of the country. Could you please check that out and give the OP the details.

Try Towergate, I've used them to cover my caravan, stored in France!

As long as the UK is still within the EU, you could try a German insurance because they, by law, aren't allowed to distinguish between home country and foreign use so long as it is within the EU. All vehicle insurance policies, for example, are always valid throughout the EU no matter how long one stays abroad and they aren't even allowed to ask whether foreign use is intended or not.

I suggested that the OP approaches the Club as I don't know exactly whether the Club offers what was required(as in my initial post).  They can then talk over their individual requirements with them.  It was not clear to me whether they wanted caravan insurance (which was what the OP stated), or whether they want a 'Red Pennant' type cover.

Towergate insure our caravan too - stored in France, and used for touring in the Spring and Summer, and perhaps touring to Spain next winter.

    Kind regards
