Hi all

We are catching the 8.45 ferry from Portsmoutth to Santander  in September

Please can anyone advise where we can stay the night before and who has done this recently as we would like to be at the port for 7am and it seems some sites lock their gates overnight so an early departure would not be possible.

We would prefer facilities on the site if possible is 8m x 2.5m

Our motorhome is 8m x 2.5m

thanks

This campsite is not far from the ferry http://www.southsealeisurepark.com/ or alternatively if it allows you enough time Morn Hill at Winchester.

I read somewhere that since the terrorist attacks they are not letting overnighters in to the port till midnight when the last of the night boats has sailed. Can anyone confirm or refute that?

Brittany Ferries are quite specific that you can stay overnight in the check-in lanes at Portsmouth after Midnight. This has been the same for as long as I can recall.

They have very specific information relating to caravan/MH parking for all their ports under 'Port Information' on their website.

We use Dibles Caravan Park, a nice little site at Warsash, which is about 20 mins from the ferry terminal. You park close to their exit and have all (clean) facilities right next to the pitch. £20 pn.
