I missed something to save money

The gas/power consumption will depend directly on (1) the internal temperature set by the thermostat (2) the outside temperature changes during the period (3) how often the door is opened and for how long (4) the temperature and mass of new items introduced to the interior (5) the air movement past/through the ventilation grills (6) the age/efficiency of the particular unit.
So it might be easier to work out the length of two pieces of elastic!

...but my quotes for recent trips didnt include any variations from heating as we didnt use it.
Agreed, these things and variations in the things we cook and the length of time we leave the hot water on and the number of cups of tea/coffe we drink, will all affect our gas or indeed our electric usage.
generally we will all use a fair bit more in winter and, with less sun to replenish batteries, many will turn to EHU......or the Costa Brava
either way, i can only post my actual usage based on the 'equipment' i used. i qualified my post in such a way, so i hope those who are interested might get a rough guide....

thats around 400g a day.
i posted earlier that i used around 500g a day, including a 20min 'blast' for a tank of hot water each morning, so not a million miles away from your figures, David.
i was assuming you used site showers, as usual...

further to the above....and as this is in the 'cheaper' section.....
whilst the volumes quoted for AD and myself are pretty much similar, a word on price.....
i realise AD doesnt use much gas and Camping gaz gives a European wide exchange facility when needed (a requirement for David but rarely used)....
however, for new comers, it is just about the most expensive way to buy it...
a 'discounted' refill at Go Outdoors is £35 (normal retail £40).
pumped LPG for 2.75kg (roughly 5.5 ltr) would be £3.30 at 60p a ltr.
so buying small quantities from Campingaz is (at least) 10 times more expensive than pumped LPG.
for those with very small lockers in campervans, Gaslow do a small (2.75kg) refillable especially to cope with this issue....
