Maisons Lafitte - Paris - Camping International
We are planning on visiting Paris next year. I have looked at sites nearby and Camping International Maisons Lafitte seems to fit the bill. Pitches by the river, 16A hook up and a train station nearby to get to Paris and Disneyland. We will probably stay for a week or so and then travel back to the Netherlands for a week before getting the ferry back to Newcastle.
I think this must be new to the club European destinations as there are currently no reviews. Has anyone stayed there that can give some comment on the site?
I would like to know about site security as we will probably be out most of the day and leave our stuff out in the awning/canopy (I have not decided which to take). I have stayed at similar sites near cities and have not felt comfortable leaving items out.
Thanks

And 94 more reviews on ACSI, which gives a 19 euro discount price outside the eight week midsummer season if you have an ACSI Camping Card

Yep, it's an ACSI site I've used several times. Lovely site in a very good location WRT Paris. Just be careful on the access road in as there are a couple of 90 degree bends, the curbs are high and parked cars don't help. It's a straight road to leave though.
Excellent site.

Thanks for the replies. I have read the reviews online and I was looking for the opinion of fellow caravan club members.
Unfortunately we can't use our ACSI card as we are going in school holidays. It will be about £40 a night but the proximity to Paris and a railway station outweighs the cost.
I have driven through central Paris twice and don't wish to repeat it in my own car.

Have you thought about hiring a Eurocamp static on Maisons Laffite we did this last year and with the savings on fuel ect it worked out about the same cost wise as towing. Possibly leave your van in Holland or use one of the many Dutch Holiday Parks. Just a thought.

andytyneandwear - I like your profile picture of Old Hartley. Stayed there many times before getting the boat to Holland.
We do like to stay in our own van when away. I am 6ft 7in tall and have never had a good sleep in a static due to the narrow and short beds. We are being more adventurous for summer next year as we normally get to Holland and stay. That said we will stay in Holland at Easter but trying a new site at Eersel called Ter Spegelt.
