Has anyone been to see it yet? Is it any good?

I'm planning to go tomorrow - solo, not Mrs M's thing! surprised

I went on Saturday. Formulaic, type cast characters, no better than UK original, too much emphasis on camera work ............ but had a nice Chicken Marsala afterwards with friends!

    I found this-

    Reviews Counted: 257
    Fresh: 238
    Rotten: 19
Critics Consensus: Dunkirk serves up emotionally satisfying spectacle, delivered by a writer-director in full command of his craft and brought to life by a gifted ensemble cast that honors the fact-based story.

Went last night - really enjoyed it.   Good perspective dealing with the crisis from Air, Land and Sea.    Good performances from all.   Worth a watch - not to mention that the little ship featured was called Moonstone! laughing

Yes, I went to see it and enjoyed it - not quite sure how historically accurate it was, but it kept me gripped and, as you say, it was pretty impressive in dealing with all aspects of the evacuation and not just from a naval perspective.

Discovered that it was "seniors" club too so just £4.50 to go in including a free and good kendo coffee! Certainly beat watching Emmerdale! wink
