Ball games taking over on club sites

It's been the way of the leisure industry for many decades, schools out, holidays more expensive. It's often complained about, parents don't like it and it gives LEA's a headache as has recently been highlighted on the Isle of Wight, though in that case, head teachers have now got the zero tolerance mandate.
What is the leisure industry to do? Stay with loading the price during holiday periods giving flexibility during off peak times or raise prices to the same level all year round, which in turn will upset those without families.
That said, there's no need for a 20 line complicated pricing menu as is now the case.

Certainly the case at 'holiday parks' Hendra used to employ over 100 during July/August when I was there in the 90's. The park is much bigger now so their staffing is likely to be much higher too these days.
Seasonal wages are a huge bill for those big sites

Sorry but you can't possibly know this unless you have access to the balance sheets for a particular business.

"...but AFAIK, Haven dont charge per person....you can have upto 6 guests on a pitch for the prices quoted."
A clever marketing ploy, really, since, although of course I can't know, I'm willing to bet few parties actually bring 6 guests.
It's a pity David has left the thread because I wanted to ask him if there was ever a time, even when the club was truly considered a club, when prices were held during school holiday periods.
Don't get me wrong, we don't use club sites apart from in low season, but it's really nothing to do with price!
