Water problem
On our latest weekend away I had trouble with the water inlet from the aquaroll. The pump is working and there was water coming out of the taps so I never thought anything was wrong. But the water run out from the aquaroll in a couple of hours of use!.
On investigation I found that the water was running out from under the van!. On looking further there are 2 pipes, 1 flexible and about 4-5 inches long and another rigid and about half an inch long but looks like it has a bit broken from it. They are surrounded by dried sealant or bitumen! I stuck the flexible pipe into the rigid part and applied sealant to the outside but the water still run out on using the taps. I applied more sealant and then more the water still runs out. But I was thinking the rigid pipe is the outlet from the yellow drain switch inside the van so sticking the flexible pipe inside it won't help when I need to drain the system!
There must be something else missing but after searching and searching I can not find any schematic diagrams showing what should be under the van. So does anyone know what (if anything) is missing and what can I do? Please.

someone else who uses an Aquaroll pump will be along to help for sure...
however, DONT shove anything up into the short drain pipe that comes out from the bottom of the Truma boiler (as thats what you seem to be describing.
not only is this needed when you manually drain the water system, but many boilers have an automatic dump valve to drain the water when the temperature falls sharply (frost protection), so dont block it.

I am at a loss to follow your problem. There should be nothing under the van to cause a problem. Is the water running from one of the pipes hanging down? Is the yellow drain switch closed? If open the lever will be vertical.
If the water is running out of one of the pipes underneath it could be that the yellow drain valve is either not closed or not closing properly. I assume that there are no leaks in the caravan itself?

A possibility is that the "yellow" flip-over Truma drain valve is not seating properly?
I have known this valve to leak from what I assume is a flake of detritus probably lime scale, that finds itself across the valve's internal seating.
Opening and closing it a few times so some purging water flows through it has "cleared" the issue for me more than once over the years.

agreed the dump valve may not seat correctly and therefore apear to be Leaking...
i guess the Aquaroll just tops up the hot tank and therefore appears to run out more quickly?

OK thanks for the feed back but I do have a pipe under the van that when the tap is turned on water comes out of it. It is flexible rubber and I have, as I said put it inside the drain pipe to enable water to get to the tap. I will take a picture this evening and post so you can see what I am talking about.
I have taken on board that it obviously shouldn't be inserted up the short drain pipe and I will try to remove it and the sealant.
Until I post a picture I obviously am not making myself clear
