Each to his/her own views. I shower daily whether or not at home or on a site however I hardly ever use the site showers. I have a warm pleasant area to shower in my caravan. No balancing on one leg to avoid contact with the floor or to avoid my trousers touching the floor. In my caravan none of my clothes ever get wet from floor contact and I also avoid the cold walk back once summer has gone.
I never walk around near home in my pyjamas or in just a bathrobe. I don't see why i should do this just because I am on a caravan site.
As for filling aquarolls, I always take two along however it's perfectly possible to do the washing up and for two people to shower from one aquaroll.
As I said, different viewpoints.

Ha ha ha! Three were on the same Club Site, albeit not the same holiday, the last one with the wine bottles is almost a staple on any Club Site

I do so agree. Winter or summer I go along in a t shirt and shorts and of course crocs! May use an umbrella if its really p..p...p... persistently raining. It's never a long walk is it?

I should if i was you try the showers on most if not all the showers on both the major clubs sites as the "problems" you have encountered is quite alien,,as either clubs showers are very much well above giving those sort of problems
We always use flip flops on our feet in any shower other than our own that includes any hotel

Not sure what a "privacy cubicle" is, but I am quite happy to use the Club's facilities on the rare occasion that we use them. They are heated and very good. I am happy with a communal shower at the golf club so having individual shower cubicles is a luxury.
The washroom is too small to use the shower in our MH except in an emergency and even when we had a large caravan I would always use site facilities as there is more room, plenty of water and is saves having to fill the tank all the time.
The problem with using your own facilities is that by the time you have a fixed bed and a large bathroom the van is enormous and you can't tow it all around Europe with ease, and life becomes a continual quest for serviced pitches. In fact, you might start thinking about a static and then, if you have the means, you might as well have a chalet. Not really touring is it?
