Safefill Refills - New Location in Bishop Auckland

I have just had my Safefill gas bottle refilled today.

The company had never heard of Safefill Gas Canisters before and after some discussion, they agreed to refill my canister. Afterwards they said that they would be happy to refill Safefill canisters again.

I explained that it can be difficult to find refill locations and asked if I could add their company details to the Caravan Club website for other caravanners that are in need of a refill.

They have agreed to this, and their details are: Solway Heaters Limited, 24 Railway Street, Bishop Auckland, DL14 7LR. Opening times are: Mon to Fri 08:00 to 17:00 Sat 09:00 to 13:00 Sun Closed.

Although the opening times are not as flexible as a 24 hour garage, it is always useful to know another location that will fill up a canister.

    Thanks Tracey- great post- always brilliant when someone breaks through the ignorance surrounding Safefill. Thanks for your time and effort from all of us, I have sent the details to Neil at Safefill.

    Is it just me that has problems with the safefill map.  I can never get it to load, it always takes me to some sort of google page that I don't have access to.

    I too had problems downloading the map using my iPad. I eventually managed it using my laptop. Merve, the next time you speak to Neil it might be worth pointing this out. We don't need members being put off by something that can easily be rectified.

    I have an answer from Safefill . Apparently, they have suspended the download of their map as they were having trouble with it and are working to resolve the problem - but hopefully now they won't need to as we should all be able to go anywhere soon.  They are in the meantime directing people to mylpg.eu
