Wow!
Recently I had a cataract removed and as a result I am seeing the world in a new and wonderful way. Magpies, crows and moorhens are now seen in iridescent indigo and violet. I'm amazed, have they always been thus, did I see them like this as a child with young eyes or, like Spider-Man, have I received a super sense as a result of my operation?

Had my cataracts removed some years back now, Mickysf.
As I was unable to drive I travelled to the hospital by bus, had one eye done then same transport home. Next day went the same route for the post op check and then made an urgnt visit to the optical branch of a supermarket to get a pair of wrap round shades 'cos the world was so brilliant I'd asked if neighbour had changed his beige motor for a new WHITE one !!
We don't realise the tiny changes can add up to such massive effect !
Seriously I hope that you will enjoy your new clarified vision and give the refs an easier time now

May need the right eye 'doing' now. I am now noticing a significant difference when I look though one eye and then the other. Brilliant, crisp clear colours in left, dull almost sepia vision in the right plus an annoying floater. Such things, and others, creep up on you unbeknownst, isn't getting 'older' fun!
