Yes, very true MM, think I should "Pipe Down" about the Ferrysmile PS, otherwise I might have Tunnel Vision. lol

We find he check-in screens difficult to reach from our Motorhome and often have to get out. Also, it seems that you have to touch the screen exactly in the right place and there is very little latitude. Every time we go through we struggle to get the screen to respond.

Bear in mind also that if you are early or too late then you will be presented with various options, some requiring additional payment. I don't recall the number plate recognition working every time (only worked on our return trip this time) so that means more fumbling around to get the reference number; plus you generally have two booking numbers and you need the "operators" reference number.

Maybe some people don't fill in the pre-travel registration information.

Lots to go wrong in even such a simple process.

It is also perhaps unfair to assume everyone is as good with technology, as we are on here.🤞You only have to look at the number of people who reject using self service tills. Incidentally that's me included in Tesco filling stations, they never seem to want to give me points or a receipt, even when requested.😡

One good thing about returning from France via the Tunnel is that you arrive before you leave!

Haha - I say that every time (I really feel we've gained some time, completely forgetting we lost it on the way out!)

That is because with a caravan you usually have a fixed destination. For those of us who like to wander and can stop where we feel like another 250 miles whether it takes one or more days is immaterial. The tunnel is quick and efficient and even without Tescos vouchers it is my number one choice for crossing the Channel.
