    Nice photos!

Just had two cups of tea and a biscuit and now time to start getting ready for work. Only 3 hours to do tonight from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. so I'll be able to have an earlier dinner tonight. It might be busy tonight as it's Friday night.

Thanks Moulesy, I've enjoyed hearing about your trip. The photos make such a difference, glad you enjoyed your holiday!

I've started to plan a trip to Scotland in September but got waylaid, hope to continue with my efforts later.

At the moment some scones (scoans laughing) are cooking, must keep an eye on them....smile

Hearing about all these holidays makes me more than a bit envious. I'm not really complaining as I love my life really. A big house in the country. - just perfect! But of course it's not the house I love, but the farm (animals and land). And any disadvantages are more than out weighed by the positives.

But sometimes. Just sometimes.  It would be nice to get away for a day or two.

Honestly I'm not moaning! And I must get on with making supper. "Left over bits and pieces stir fry. " With plenty of cashews from my hidden stash.

We love Dartmoor M, got to know it really well these last few years, and done some fantastic walks. We used to hack out from Lydford a couple of times a week over Moors up to Widgery Cross and onto ranges at Okehampton. One of few places we have found not as good in MH, narrow lanes everywhere, so we usually stay in cottage and take Jeep. Lovely photos, we went swimming a couple of years ago near a Becky Falls!laughing

Thanks Moulesy , we are staying at Bempton, close to the rspb reserve, so far so good with new van, although it seems very long .

We see stopping off near Matlock on the way home for a couple of days, plan is to meet up with youngest son somewhere about half way between Matlock and Sale.

Finished sorting the holiday packing, so all ready for off in the morning. smile

Will try and keep up with posts,  depends on the 4G .Not sure if I'll be as good as Moulesy especially with photos undecided may have to wait until we get home.

Matlock - that brings back a lot memories. Grew up in Derby (well someone had to) and as children it was a popular Sunday afternoon drive, then as a young teenager watching my brother who used to go climbing on some 'cliffs' there. Then later borrowing my dad's car and taking friends and girlfriends there on Fridays and Saturday nights.

At the Primrose Tea Rooms? They were doing a roaring trade today - far busier than The Cleave where we had lunch!

We've had to give cream teas a miss this week though - they do this funny thing in Devon of putting the cream on first, before the jam - how very dare they?!! sealed

Hope you have a good trip H&T. You'll enjoy the walks along the cliff tops from the RSPB centre. Look out for the Short Eared Owls up by the reserve. Hope that the new van is everything that you wanted.

Well that's our last cycle on this trip, a nice 25 mile run. Van all packed up ready for the off tomorrow morning, just need to hook up the trailer.

BB, I think all our advice falls on deaf ears where MM is concerned undecided 3 whopping meals, plus snacks everyday. Little to no exercise and afternoon naps. The thing is we are the same age but our lifestyles  are so so different.

Hope you are enjoying your trip.

I'm doing 5 hours at work tonight from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. so I'm sure I'll get a fair bit of exercise delivering pizzas, Tammygirl. Anyhow, have a nice journey home today.

At the moment, I've just got up to a grey overcast sky and having my first cup of tea.

liveriesIt's still rather grey and overcast but at least it's nice and cool. Cool enough to sit out in the awning in the relaxer and there's a breeze.

It was quite busy at work yesterday evening. I did 7 deliveries in three hours, two of which were in Shoreham. I got back to the caravan at 9.15 p.m. and had dinner soon after, so got to bed an hour earlier than the previous night.

We've just got back from shopping at West Durrington Tesco Extra. It's raining but that doesn't matter as it's under cover there. It's a bit muggy though, so the caravan aircon is back on again. Day off from work tomorrow.

Reasonable day today, 20C or so, cloudy with sunny intervals. Drove to Hardwick Hall NT, where we parked, and went for a walk on the extensive old railway network about it. This was mainly used by the numerous collieries in the area and is now  a network of cycle / walking routes. Our route included an ascent of Silverhill tip, just about the highest place in Notts. The view behind the miner is across to the Peak District, that in front across to the River Trent on the horizon. The third just shows Hardwick Hall, through the trees. It is hard now to believe it is a tip. It looked a lot different when I used to work here in the early 90's.

It's rather nice up here at the moment H&T! Couple of nice places to visit if you are close to Bridlington, Sewerby Hall, which isn't far from Bempton, and a nice beach walk is to be had from Hunmanby Gap, which is a tad further North than Bempton. Good car park above beach, reasonable price, cafe on way down to beach is a good one, and the beach stroll is good. But check the tides, or no beach! Mid week it won't be too busy.

If you are using the CL in Bempton, it is very nice, one of our favourites. You can catch the train all the way down to Hull or Beverley (Which is a lovely town, great Minster!) from the little station in Bempton, and I think the line might go up to Scarborough as well, not certain. Sledmere House and Walled Garden is superb by the way, again, a lovely cafe.

Hope you have a lovely time!
