Travelling South via Paris
Hi, I have travelled through France on many occasions and have always avoided Paris mainly due to comments I have read on here. However this year I am thinking of taking the plunge as it is the most direct route to my destination which is Bourges. I would welcome any comments / advice on what I can expect or is it just that bad that it should be avoided at all costs.
Thanks in advance.

Everyone on here has told everyone else not to go that way - but it is allowed !
Approach Paris on the A1 with sat nav switched off. After passing under the airport take the turning on to the A3, signposted Bordeaux. That motorway will become the A86 (the middle Paris ring road) . Follow the signposts for Bordeaux till you are south of the city and signs for Orleans and Bourges begin to appear. You may now switch your sat nav on again.
