And just up the road from us in the Cotswolds! Unmissable viewing this week. Great shots of the Blue Tits, Jays and Swallows and wow, those Peregrines at Salisbury Cathedral. Expecting more great stories, and no doubt some sad endings during the week.

This is what the Beeb does best! smile

    Great viewing, but what was the need for the 'War Games' thing?  Otherwise good viewing, and just amazing footage of the mayfly swarms.  We see them on 'our' river, this time of year, but interesting to see them in close up.  Such a short life!

    I love this programme.  I wish they did it monthly throughout the year.  January Watch, through to December Watch!

    Really enjoyed this week's programmes, have really enjoyed watching the nest cameras,  especially the kestrels and red Kites.

    Good  to see  they  have  introduced  a  new,  and  really  good,  member  of  the  team  !!  A marked improvement  on  the  hairy  one  I  must  say  !!

    Great feature on dippers on tonight's programme. Spent a lot of time looking out for them on riverside walks when we were away recently but only saw one the whole time! frown

    Really like this programme and find the presenters to be very good, each in their own way.

    Watching the young barn owls tonight and the youngest chick scoffing down a whole vole and then looking exhausted afterwards. As Michaela said, like it was saying "I couldn't eat another thing!"  smile

    They most certainly were VERY scary. Over 90% drop in one case 😲😲

    Agreed - particularly the decline in farmland birds. On the other hand, I think many farmers have greater awareness of the problem now and the stats did show signs of the start of a recovery so we have to hope that this will continue. I've noticed that around here we are starting to see yellowhammers again, a very rare sight just 5 or 6 years ago.

    Lovely pictures of those owl chicks tonight - and what about those photos of the owl and the buzzard fighting over a vole? Must be a tough life, being a vole!

    Sadly the series has come to an end. Very enjoyable yet again and Gilliam Burke has been a great addition with her unbounded enthusiasm.

    Lovely series I actually watched most of it live tonight. Been having my own spring watch in the garden these warm evenings, bit breezy tonight and cooler! I'm sad it's ended BUT I'm in no rush for autumn watch I want to enjoy a glorious summer that lasts and lasts 😉
