Going to order some goods online from Go Outdoors. Can't find on CMC web site the discounts we get for being a member. It must be here somewhere but can't seem to find it. Any ideas? Do you have to quote club number on line for discount to be applied? Your help as usual would be most appreciated.

I asked the same question when Go Outdoors was mentioned in a post and was told to look here:

    https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/membership/member-offers/

I did that but the list does not contain Go Outdoors so good luck with your question!

There are quite a few sports/outdoor activity shops that will give a discount if you are a member of CC, EH, N/T, etc. All one has to do is ask the question. Simples!!laughing

I was in our local Go Outdoors today it have recently reopened after a serious fire. I was a bit surprised that they seemed to have dumbed down a bit on what they sell. Perhaps because of the takeover by Sports Direct? Perhaps they were just a bit empty after the Easter weekend?

I'm surprised that nobody has pointed out that it is members of The Camping and Caravanning Club who receive a 10% discount at Go Outdoors on showing their CCC membership card. I don't think that The Caravan Club ever had such an arrangement with Go Outdoors.

I think asking is the answer but how you do that online I wouldn't know.

If they're now part of Sport Direct, they join the list of companies I'll not buy from.
It's very nice for us to get cheap stuff, but when the means of making it cheap is rotten conditions and lousy contracts for the people producing it that isn't equitable.
Sports Direct is known to need a lot of cleaning up before it's a decent employer for those below the top layers of the company.

    Well said.

Trouble is even 'expensive' shops have their products made overseas and it's difficult to tell about the pay and conditions without really digging. The fire in Pakistan which killed people produced for Primark and others including Aquascutium.

If it helps according to news reports Go Outdoors was bought from a private equity group by JD Sports, Bury last November for £112 million. JD Sports also own Millets and Blacks as well as their own chain of sports shops and are Sports Direct's biggest competitor.
