Just had first weekend away after a 20 year break. Loved it but have a query. No specific waste emptying points provided,  was told to use the shower for grey waste & toilet for black. Site is a cl for camping & caravanning club and had separate camping field. Lovely site and will definitely return but just wondered how common this is.

not that unusual to use a separate 'special' toilet for black waste at a low budget CL type site (just usually connects to main sewer), a simple way, rather than a manhole (heavy?) or proper chem toilet 'front end' (probably far more expensive to install...)

one CS we use has this arrangement......

...as for grey waste down the shower, thats one i havent seen before...usually a hedgerow at CS/CL of no formal grey dump point.

    enjoy your return...

Not so sure I would want to use the shower!

There are a couple of CLs we have used that have a "toilet" as an apt cassette emptying point. Better than heavy grids.

I remember once seeing some German 'vanners emptying their toilet in a foot bath on a Spanish site!surprisedFortunately we were able to inform the wardens before anybody could use it.
