Can anyone suggest a route from Eurotunnel skirting west side of Paris, without having to involve the outer edges of the city. ?  We're heading to Agde, but getting around Paris is a pain!!

We are taking 3-4 days to get down to Med.

You do not need to go anywhere near Paris.  Look at this route;  Calais, Rouen, Dreaux, Evereaux, Chatres, Orlreans, Clermont Ferrand then A75 south.  Toll free Rouen to Orleans and Clermont Ferrand South.  Have used it many, many times.  Two and a half days easy driving, so a couple of nights near Miillau is to be recommended.  Plenty of sites en route,

I'd recommend that route too, and there are plenty of suitable overnight stops everywhere from just south of Rouen.  If you need suggestions for sites in particular areas just ask.  I have a PDF file of the route which avoids the congestion sometimes found in Rouen, with added photographs, and would be happy to email it to you.  If you want it email me on valdaathome@gmail.com

Jally, but if you do want to go down the west side of Paris then leave the A16 autoroute at junction 10 and follow the N184 south towards Versailles. It's  the outer Paris ring road . (But the middle ring road on that west side of Paris, the A86, has 2 metre height limited tunnels and is only OK for solo cars without things on the roof)

You might find this link useful as it describes two main routes we have used to the south that avoid Paris, it also has some site suggestions. In years gone by we used the main route via Lyon but since the A75 south of Clermont Ferrand has been completed we have tended to use the route via Rouen. It also has the advantage that there are less tolls but still good roads.
