Just had a look Goldie. smile The wrong age caption reminds me of the Eric Morecambe quote from his speech at his daughter's wedding "you're all alright, I've got to sleep with the mother-in-law tonight."laughing

Thanks Millie.  Hope you have a good week too.  Going somewhere nice?  Some friends of ours have just gone on a cruise to the Canaries.  I think I quite like that idea.

Nothing as exotic as a cruise to the Canaries for us David unfortunately.  We are going to The Norfolk Broads Site for a week.

Lovely site Millie go for pitches near rear of site as road can at times be a bit intrusive ,bus stops near entrance,  parking in Wroxham is some times busy, nice walks along river from Ludham bridge couple of hundred yards from site, and little shop /cafe also there

Glorious blue sky here now. A little rain, really a tease for the plants, not done much for the ground. Looking at the forecast none makes it here over the weekend either and they're talking about 20 21c so it'll dry very quickly!

Collected motorhome after bonnet respray. Looks very smart and ready for the next outing starting next Friday. Although we had news of a death in the family today she was 102, so we're awaiting funeral details - hopefully we'll manage a few days away as we're only going locally, funeral will be in Leicester.

Had some heavy but short lived showers this afternoon, luckily managed to walk home between them.

Went to Primark at lunchtime, stocked up on £2.50 tshirts.smile

Now enjoying a well earned glass of wine, as it's the weekend. wink

The good news is that we got quite a lot of rain this afternoon and all 3 water butts are now full.  The bad news is that we were on school pick up duty this afternoon for 2 of our grandsons so we got rather wet.

Milliehull glad you got decent rain and full water butts me jealous?  What is it about showers and school times? Even though I haven't had them to do for years if there's a shower I glance at the clock and it usually school time.

Well shopped Helenandtrevor and good timing on walks.

Enjoy your weekend folks home or away or preparing for departure or return 😆

We're well into our Scottish trip now and it's still dry, but for how much longer I'm not sure. Moved on up to a CL at Dornoch from the CC's Clachan site. This is our 5 site so far and the least occupied has been the club site, although the Maragowan site down in Killin was quite full. There's not been a free pitch either of the last 2 CLs so I'm pleased that we've booked all our sites and not come on spec.

Nice to hear about Scotland NTH. It's not long now when we'll be going. Also it will be very close to the summer solstice when we arrive there so that we will get the benefit of the lighter evenings especially when we reach the far north at Dunnet Bay.

Yesterday I clocked up another 4 hours at Pizza Hut, actually more because I arrived at 17:45 and didn't finish until 22:15. Non-stop deliveries from start to finish!

Bacon and eggs on the go only decision is mushrooms or not?  Life is so tough with to many decisionslaughing. Moving all of 5 miles to another CL so fairly relaxed morning, leaving Barleywood about 1145hrs for a 1200hrs arrival.

Why not make it a full English breakfast, Oneputt by adding sausages and grilled tomatoes to it?

Glad you are enjoying the break Oneputt,  we often watch the crow's mob the Red Kites, they can be quite nasty sometimes.

Woke to grey skies and showers this morning, not what the forecast said.

Just stripped sheets etc off bed to wash, hubby managed to spill his coffee, he blamed the dog! surprised Not sure if I will get them dry outside. Nice to hear about everyone's trips,  although just a bit jealous. Being at home though has made us do lots of jobs that normally get put off, also the garden has never looked as good.smile

Rather dull and showery today, but brightened up this evening. I suppose the good weather couldn't last forever in the Lakes.

The rain set in with a vengeance about midday yesterday and finally gave up about the same time today. We knew it was coming so managed to get out walking on the fells above the site yesterday (out walking before 9 am, please note! wink) But that was about it for the day, just a couple of strolls for the dogs to do the necessary!

We did some food shopping in Clitheroe this morning and, Pliers, if you're reading this, thanks for the tip about Cowman's Sausage Shop - but, blimey how do you choose from all those varieties? Eventually we went for Pork & Ginger and Pork & Black Stick Blue cheese, plus some award winning black pudding, obviously!

But it all changed this afternoon and we drove over to Dunsop Bridge and did a lovely walk up the Dunsop Valley and into more remote Whitendale - where the twitchers were out in force because there's been a sighting of a rare Russian bird, a Pallid Harrier.

The pictures are from Dunsop Valley, plus what seems like the main attraction in the village - this phone box, but does anyone know its two claims to fame?

After a bit of a grey morning, read yesterdays news in paper anyway, sun came out so we walked into town,  had cream teas on John Lewis outside terrace (with our vouchers) and then a wander round the stalls of "eat well" market and then a walk home from town via the woodland walk, lovely

Just ambled back from the local pub, The Carpenters, had a nice meal and a couple of pints of Woodfordes.  Fortunately I Managed to avoid the Euro  song parties.

The sun is slipping slowly below the horizon and all is peaceful in North Norfolk.

Moulesy, is the phone box famous for its claim to mark the centre of Great Britain? Not sure about its second claim!
