Yesterday afternoon the free service from Filmon suddenly  started to only supply a few minutes before stopping and saying  "Free trial period expired"

Now everyone here is looking for alternatives

    Or pay the subscriptionwink

I am not sure how much the subscription is but I don't think it was a massive amount each month and you have the advantage of no adverts, unless that has changed.

From another forum (and I can't say whether it works or not as we don't have TV in France) someone has suggested:

    http://www.tvcatchup.com/

Thanks for letting us know AD, we managed to watch the last in the series of Line of Duty the other night, OH had recorded it to the cloud as we were on the ferry when it was on back in the UK. We have a new Satellite dish fitted for this trip and at the mo its working fine smile as we are not intending to travel outside of France we should be able to receive UK channels ok.

Thanks ValDa for the link I will have a look at it just in case we need it for the future.

watchbritishtv.com  was still working and free this morning (I watched for about half an hour). It streams the FilmOn feed of the major UK channels, although quality can be a bit poorer than FilmOn.

It's anyone's guess how long it will remain available.

TG, as you say, in almost all of France, youll be OK with your new 85cm dish.smile

relying on wifi for TV has always been a bit iffy, though we have used filmon many a time, just depends on the site's bamdwidth and time of daywink

Just tried to watch FilmOn and it allows 1.45 mins free then cuts off. Checked their website and it's £14.95 a month.

In France and looked at most options, after discounting the paid for varieties, and TV Catch Up has been most reliable. Saw all Monaco GP without interruption-well apart from trips to the beer fridge.
