We too have to store our motorhome and like others we load up at home, move stuff over into its correct place in the motorhome, put 10 litres of water into the fresh water tank, remove silverscreen. I drive out of parking space hubby puts car in its place. 15 minutes max we have it down to a fine art. We use laundry bag for folded clothes, stuff on hangers lays on back seat,  chilled and frozen in cool bag, walking boots have their own bags and live in the car so just move them over. Arrive at lunch stop/place to visit/destination easy to have cuppa within minutes 😉

Yes it's what works for you. Trial and error to prefect it. Like most of life 😉.  I take the ingredients for lunch and prep what we fancy  😉 when we stop. But thats motorhoming.

    Where you off to Wednesday?

Glad you are feeling better Bakers2 and also glad that you got some rain.  We are off out for a little outing to Lyveden New Bield with son and family and their puppy.  Just hope the rain holds off.

I agree it would be nice to have a house if I could comfortably afford it. Perhaps, one day, sometime in the future, it could happen. Who knows what lies around the corner?

We're now back on our seasonal pitch at Northbrook Farm CMC site having left Charmill Cottage CS just after 12 noon. We had to drive the Smart car here first and then collect the Shogun to drive back to Charmill Cottage. Then it was just a question of loading the Shogun and hitching up to tow the caravan back here. So now we have both cars and caravan here for the next five days. Then we'll be away for two nights over the weekend before returning here once again.

We're just warming some food in the microwave now as it's time for lunch.

I think you are being optimistic there, no real social housing here in Devon. My daughter has three children, paying a fortune for private rented accommodation. They have been on the housing list for 9 years, been told unless actually homeless then no chance.

I fell asleep in the relaxer this afternoon having got settled back into our seasonal pitch. Then it started a slight shower which woke me up. So now we're shopping at Tesco Extra.

Interesting reading how to get ready for trips when caravan/motorhome is in storage. Our current van fits on the drive for short periods, but new one won't.  So good to know it's not difficult with a bit of planning.smile

Spent a lovely few hours at Cogges Manor Farm in Witney today, craft fair and country show.  Some great demonstrations, including thatching and hedge laying. Had a wander round the farm too, couple of showers but mostly sunny. The farm was used as a location for Downton Abbey. Interesting place and dog friendly too.smile

We used to bring our caravan home for a few days before and after trips away Helen but for various reasons that is not now really possible.  We soon got used to the change in routine and actually now find it less stressful.  Hope you get good news about your new caravan soon.
