Camping cheque problems

Our club no longer have the facility to issue silver/gold camping cheque cards, only paper cheques but no camping cheque book to go with them.

Trying to put cheques on your card or purchase the sites book is (was) for me impossible on the camping cheque official site. Had to ask our club to assist with log in which they did but its a waste of time, the French don't want us on their internet site.

Bought paper cheques from our club and will have to use last years book.

Try looking at campingtravelclub.com its not easy to navigate but does have the latest info.

My 2017/8 cheques arrived this week with a map showing sites. Should enable you to narrow down search when looking at the website.

    Bill

This general subject was discussed in this threadWhilst it might not help what you want to do it explains the changes. I was interested in what you said about the French site as many of us used to use that site to pay in Euros for camping cheques which, at the time, worked out cheaper. As far as I recall you used the same log-in as the UK site. We have not used Camping Cheques for a few years now so have not used the new system.

    Hi, the site that I access defaults to English, with a Union Jack at the top  so not sure where you are as it does not ask what country from but gives a drop down menu of which country to wish to search for sites. The full info in my address bar is;

    https://www.campingtravelclub.com/#_ga=1.269136631.747144061.1482827216

I have used it to confirm that the site I want to visit is taking cheques, which it is.

Hi we have had a Gold Card for several years and added 8 cheques last year to top up. When I checked my balance earlier today I found that the remaining 7 credits were removed on 1st March, presumably by the French operator....this is the first that I have heard of it. I have tried contacting them to ask where my 7 missing cheques are but have had no response, nor have we had a refund.  Has anyone else encountered this?

When I had an active Silver Card I did get a few issues with cheques disappearing, I e-mailed using the Contact Us option and it was sorted out pretty quickly. However it seems to have all changed now so I don't know if the same staff are dealing with issues. If e-mail fails perhaps try phoning.

k8tiej,  I am not an expert on the way Camping Cheques now work, but those cards now hold cash balances rather than a set number of Cheques. Have your seven Cheques been converted to a cash credit on your card?

K8tiej, I also wondered about my cheques that had disappeared on the old website. Have a look at campingtravelclub.com

Virtually everything is now run from France, and the club can do very little, apart from selling paper cheques.

My 40 units, that I purchased last year disappeared on March 1st on the old campingcheque website, but are still there on the new campingtravelclub website

And although they have moved to a 3 tier price structure, apparently our units will be valid regardless of what price the site now charges

According to the android app I have had some unused cheques removed from my Gold card, and the new website will not accept my login details from the old site to check on there,  there seems to be no password recovery option.or email contact details.

I have tried phoning both on a landline and by mobile since 9am this morning and I get the same result as Friday there is an answer phone message in French and then the line is cut off. The UK site which does answer phones could not get a answer when they tried ringing them on Friday either, they said they would send a email to Camping Travel Club in France to reset my password so I could access the web site but nothing has happened yet.

As this seems to be the only way to contact them I would assume that the contact line would be manned at the designated times, Are they still operating? Its very annoying I had valid cheques on my Gold Card before the 1st of March, but have been unable to check since they reset the passwords and they did not send any restore information.

Steve. Try this. Go to the new Camping Travel Club website, then in the my account box enter your e mail address, and instead of password enter your gold card number - six figures I think.  Does that let you in and give you an up to date statement?
