    Today, Brue:-

    I have looked at the progress on local road works (nil progress);

    tipped the 'van nose down to prove to another contributer on here that his jockey wheel is wrongly retracted (nil response);

    drunk a couple of bottles of cider (nil as well as non-alcoholic).

    So all in all I've done nothing much!  Hope it's the same next Sunday.

    Settled down with my knitting in the garden after son & Co left very soon after lunch to visit my mum on their way home. Have knitted and unpicked 3 times as I can't seem to read the pattern (& it's basic😲). How pointless is that? Upside the sun was lovely and warm whilst out and as there was no wind it wasn't bad when it went in 😆.

    Hubby succumbed and used hosepipe on the garden, still desperate for rain and we're away from tomorrow for a few days. Bet you that'll be pointless as it'll rain 😉.

    Mmm, there's no point to it. Perhaps that's the whole point.

    I watched Pointless.

    Oooh new thread. 😉

    Not done much today, although did get all the washing dry,  Walked to local sainsburys through the park, came face to face with a rather large rat! Wandered across the path in front of us.surprised

    Apart from that a bit of knitting, group chat with sons, and cooked Moraccan Chicken with sweet potato mash for tea.

    Fettled the conservatory, then sat in it and finished my latest Jack Reacher book.

    SWMBO thought I might like to cut the back lawn, I said think again!

    It does not make sense to me,  It's the inclusion of the word How!

    I have just found a broken pencil, now that is pointless!!!

    Makes perfect sense to me laughingbrue

    Pampered all my little seeds in the greenhouse, finished off giving MH a proper deep clean, almost ready to roll. Tentative planning of a long break in September, looking at various routes, places to visit, one or two possible sites. A nice day. Should have cut the lawn as well, fingers crossed rain holds off tomorrow.

    Picked the fluff out of my fleece jacket Velcro and walked to the wood behind my house to see the Bluebells. Cold wind when out of the sun.

    Later -

    Ordered a takeaway from Dinner2Go but unfortunately their driver has left :-(

    If a moderator spots my error would they remove the "how" in the sub title. Hope that makes it readable. Thanks.

    Certainly no need for an apology brue, a simple mistake, we all make them!!

    I had worked out what you really meant. It was the fact that others had started to argue the issue that caused me to point out why it did not actually make sense.

    JCB4X4 your post made me reread the original post.

    Well 😲😊how embarrassed am I???

    I didn't read the word 'how' in Brue's original post. Goes to show I shouldn't be a proof reader. IanH I apologise.

    Understood where you're coming from brue.

    Did a little weeding in the garden. Loaded clothes into the van for our next trip. Took the dog for a couple of decent walks. Counted the number of CLs in the new Site Directory that we've visited...at least 141, if anyone is interested!!

    Cracking visitor record Nellie. The Club should be sub contracting you, I suspect you know far more about CLs than what HQ does! Forget the CL of the year competition, better idea would be a "Has Nelliethehooker paid a visit to your CL this year" and let you choose your favourite!laughing

    No need to be embraced Bakers2

    As I said earlier we all make these kinds of mistakes. The human brain seems to be programed filter out words in sentences that do not make sense and most of the time this is a valuable asset. I have lost count of the number of times I have read & re-read my own ramblings, only to post, then spot an error that I am quite sure was not there in the first place
