I can't think why you have so many jobs  ROFL 😂😂

I'm sure we'll have a good catch up. Might even have news ???

I'm wondering whether to get summer duvet out but 4.5 tog seems low for April and hubby thinks it's too light in the summer. Not doing bedding today but if you hear domestic soon it could well be us 😉

Have you found a window to try out new awning?

Not yet Bakers2. The caravan goes in for service next week so will have to see how that goes first.undecided

Do you think you might have news of the wedding? How exciting.laughing

Have decided to keep the winter duvet on for now as low temperatures are forecast at night for the next few nights.

We switched to a wool duvet a couple of years ago (made in Devon.) It's very lightweight and not bulky and it seems to be ok all year round....not been tested in a boiling hot summer yet but then, no doubt, everything would be too warm. smile

Interesting but hubby likes weight! You remember as a kid the weight of blankets and counterpanes type 😲.

Thanks for the link Brue most interesting will definitely have a think about them. Interesting they come in three 'seasons' summer, spring/autumn and winter. Much to think about for those of us who have hot spells 😲. No tog rating to compare them with. I bought a 13.5 one for the winter it lasted one night 😂😂, so would need to consider very carefully and chat to them, can't afford to make that mistake a) again and b) at this cost there's a limit to how many duvets you can hide from prying eyes 😂😂😂

She is doing fine , up and down the stairs(one at a time) with no real problem, she had the clips out yesterday , it's just a case of keeping her from doing to much , she doesn't like sitting about undecided, I have got myself a routine going , getting the dinner ready before I go to the shop , then when I get home it's oven on while I do a bit of dusting and tiding up then dinners ready , wash up and then sit and relax , take dog for a walk and bedsurprised

I'm thinking of hiring my self out for housework etcsurprised

Two interesting things in our garden just now, the early rose is out (Canary Bird) and an unusual tulip that grows in the wild....somewhere, can't recall but it seems to be doing ok here. wink

We're off across the border into Yorkshire tonight - Police Dog Hogan at Settle.

Looking forward forward to a brilliant night out.

Look them up on their website

Or read here what it says -

"Police Dog Hogan are a high-energy and eclectic eight-piece, combining fiddle, banjo and mandolin, bass and drums, accordion, trumpet and acoustic guitar. Add in knockout four-part harmonies and it makes for an exuberant fusing of country, pop, folk, and rocking bluegrass. The Sunday Times has described them as ‘wonderful’; the Telegraph named them one of its ‘favourite new bands’; Radio 2 called them ‘a band to watch’ and veteran DJ Johnnie Walker praises their gigs as ‘a really good, fun time’.

Their literate and carefully crafted songs veer from the wistful and poetic to flat-out, foot-stomping tales of doomed barbecues, French mustard and condemned Victorian scoundrels. "

And if you're a fan off cheap Australian wine - listen out for their song "Sh***y White Wine". Never a truer word .

My Heather's are fine ABM they are made for Scottish weatherwink, its the more tender Pieris and Hydrangea that got caught the other night, even after me going out and covering them frown the garden is very dry on the top surface thankfully you only have to go down an inch and the ground is still wet. Noticed my flowering cherry tree is coming into blossom, first time I've seen it in flower for about 5 years, the Rhododendron is also out and looking nice.

We changed our duvet over to a 10.5 tog when we came back from Lanzarote 4 weeks ago, we only ever have a 12 tog on even in the winter. By the time we come back from this trip it will be the 7.5 tog one that will be on for the summer, our bedroom is at the back of the house which is NE facing so doesn't get sun. In fact the house (bungalow) doesn't really get hot even in the summer months, we often joke about open the doors and windows and let the heat in.

Only 8 days until we will be heading off, at the moment I'm a bit ahead of myself, OH still has a few tasks to do on his list but I feel sure he will get them done wink

Millie: The Sunncamp awning looks just the type we have been looking for, would be interested in how it performs when you use it.

Lovely coffee and chat with friend this morning, and then a mooch round the farm shop. Friend also just brought some rhubarb round from allotment, crumble to make now.smile

Huskydog,  really pleased Mrs HD is doing well and that you are looking after things.

Will let you know Helen. The van has it's service next week - fingers crossed. After that we will hopefully get a chance to try it out. Your morning sounds lovely. Our rhubarb is doing really well at the moment. I harvested a load and put it in the freezer before we went to NI.

Had a day out in Gloucester (bus pass bashing) including outlet centre on docks (how can Cadbury think they can charge more than in proper shops? ) have been listening to Abbey bell ringing practice for last couple of hours, pleasant evening with really red sunset

Love the Tewkesbury site, especially having the abbey so near, always go in for a wander round. My uncle was evacuated there in the war so we used to hear tales about "old" Tewkesbury and some of our family came from Deerhurst (across the fields.) Glad you're enjoying your visit.

Just handed back the extra dog, daughter and boyfriend had a good camping trip in Pembrokeshire, staying at Porthclais and West Hook Farm sites.

Babysitting for grandson tomorrow night. All go, did have a few hours to myself today, that was nice. smile

Sounds like a nice day out. I presume Cadbury will try to charge what they think and only canny shoppers will notice!

Got Tewkesbury on our list to visit have managed to drive past it twice 😲. I see there another review just posted saying about the bells on Sunday morning. Goes with the territory 😉.  There's something quintessential English, possibly rest of UK I don't know, about ringing church/abbey bells.
