Frost forecast for us tonight frown was getting quite used to the heating being off during the day and just on for a few hours in the evening.

Must remember to go out and put covers over my Pieris, its looking lovely at the moment, if the frost gets it it will be all brown and shriveled come morning. (behave ABM) laughing

Sun is now out and it looks lovely but I know its a flipping freezing wind.

I've just got back from visiting the Lancing Pizza Hut as the manager needed me to submit some documents namely, my passport, national insurance number, driving licence and motor insurance certificate. All duly submitted now. I also had to answer a health questionnaire, not sure how well I'll be seen on that as I have type 2 diabetes. He said that these documents have to be submitted to the head office and they will get a reply of yeah or nay in two days.

The problem with that, EasyT is that they didn't treat me as self employed because they were in total control of me. The manager was the master and I was the servant!

Had a lovely 4 mile walk through bluebell wood. Very pretty and almost at perfection another day or two the glorious sun gave way to clouds. Since we've tired the shed and can easily access the bikes gave them a quick once over and took ourselves off on a 6 ish mile flat cycle. Odd spots of rain whilst out. Cuppa in the conservatory and you could hear spots on rain if the roof, that was two hours ago and it's still come go nothing. Hopefully a decent rain will arrive overnight as we are in need of it. Much cooler than it was earlier.

Hope others have had a nice Easter Day?

Well we've had the family here. So lots of cooking and chatter. Now really tired but happy. Booked a week away late May and a theatre trip.

    Been rather cold here today.

Had our daily visit from Henry (female duck born here three years ago). She had her entourage of three males with her as protection. She's bald all down the back of her neck, poor thing, where males have 'attacked' her. She's very dark and must be seen as a rare beauty to the ducks.

We also see her daughter (Henry 2) most days - she is the image of her mother and was born here last year.

Both get a good feed when they visit. Henry still takes it from my hand, but the daughter is a bit more nervous.

Henry has worked out that she can sneak down the side of our caravan to get back to the river, to avoid most of the marauding males.

    Wonderful! smile

Had a really great Easter Day. Lunch for 10 at son and DIL's and all I had to do was peel the potatoes. After lunch came the throwing the eggs game with all the neighbours - real eggs! I didnt understand the rules but it was great fun - very Irish as everyone joined in and then it was all over to a neighbours for a drink afterwards. Weather very mixed. One minute lovely sunshine, then a heavy shower of rain and then back to sunshine again. Hope you have all had a good day.

We also had an Easter Egg yesterday. It's been a long time since we had any chocolate. There's still some left for today.

Another lovely, sunny morning this morning.
