Well, that seems to have worked. Something to warm you all up with all this snow around.

Thank you for that. I actually photographed that from our lounge window.

They all have black feet around here but I think that is due to the mud.

Lol, I am allowed out every once in a while. Those pics were taken as I left Mrs C and daughter to pack to bring her home form Leeds university.

Couldn’t resist taking this photo of coach parking area @ Stourhead NT. No coaches just an A Frame notice asking camper-vans to use the coach park area. 1st time I’ve seen a caravan parked there though other than on their CL site.

so, Chas...i guess you took this on a phone.....apple or android?
where does the photo get shunted to, in order to get it back to CT, and so large (the photo, not the burger....wot, only four chips?)
i failed dismally the other day from a windows machine, despite resizing correctly.
posting directly from an ipad (certainly to an avatar slot) requires Flash (ah-ah)...

If you want to use the forum option for posting a picture it will resize automatically now? The photo below is 1250x938 pixels and 381kb in size. Its not as neat as Chas's effort and only appears as thumbnail but it can be enlarged a bit by clicking on.

Sorry Bakers2, it will resize automatically if if the disk size is under 500kb I should have perhaps added. Depends which way you think of size. I tend to think in pixels!!!

Hi BB, I took this photo on our dinky little Sony Cybershot, a compact camera that slips into a pocket. We're on our second, the previous one having developed a blind spot by being pointed at too many sunsets!
I down load photos to our laptop and then make a selection of photos to downsize, using 'easythumbs', to a 600 pix wide format to use on here and to attach as on-line photos in emails to chums.
I stored this photo and others as an album on Flickr, from whence I inserted this 'hamburger' photo.
By the way, we were having a night out with Tony and Mary, and Dave and Cathy who had come up to Betsw for a convivial get-together.
Note the lack of green veg ( and a plate). Must admit I would have preferred a 'Steak Hache' at a 'Buffalo Grill'

When I am in a position to write another story I will try your Firefox method again. I did get it to work previously so providing I can remember I will have a go. Rather than third party photo storage I can use my own website.

On my iPad I use a very good easy to use image resize app. The same app is available for android from the play store. I could not figure out how to put a link to the play store, but it is the app in the screen shot below. Just search for picture resizer. Might be worth a try.

We use ImageResize also from the App Store. Using iCloud library means pics are available on all devices once they have connection to wifi so these two taken on my phone are now on the iPad from where I am posting.
