Tutorial for uploading photos and video

200% gave me the clue that you are zooming the screen and not the image. Obviously detail degrades as any image is enlarged.
The aim of enlarging in my original comments was to perhaps read or view minor details on an image.
It could always be downloaded which in turn would allow an image zoom!!!!
Like everything on the forum it's a case of DIY because the site won't.
I use Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 with Edge and IE 11.
Thanks....interesting

the thumbnails are the right size for viewing on an iphone or similar. Perhaps the young IT folk view the world on such devices!
Meanwhile, photos from external storage ie flckr seem to retain fidelity, unlike those expanded from thumbnails.
Is this a badger?
Brue's photo retains its detail...

As it was first attempt at a picture, I was just pleased it appeared!
Will need to practice. Posting badger pics.

That was a good first attempt Helen.
With the peony picture I was using a carefully focused photo (the peony is the size of a dinner plate, the one and only flower on a tree peony in our garden, so I wanted a a good close up shot.) I think you did well to capture the badger in broad daylight!
edit I've got pics stored on my computer and a few on my phone, for me, the computer ones seem to work best on here.

Thanks Brue, we hadn't really expected to see a badger on our dog walk. It was hastily taken picture on phone, as we were a bit surprised. Did take a while to work out how to post it too.

Like brue I also think you did amazingly well to get a picture of a Badger. They are very difficult to see according to a program I watched on TV earlier this week. Good to see, thanks for sharing the photo. I find this is a good discussion area to practice on.

I clicked on the thumbnail to get the full sized pop out, I then dragged the photo to my reply. It only works with firefox as far as I can tell. It works with photos anywhere on CT, and from other web sites! I don't know why!! It was 'peedee' who first discovered the method.

Previously, on the old web site I could drag and drop!
Well done N1805 (are we talking Nelson here by any chance, the penny has just dropped!
)
edit. Going to switch off laptop and try phone photo of peony which I don't think will be as good.

Brue. This is how I managed dragging in your peony. Logged in using Chrome - Windows 10 on laptop. Went to end of discussion to post comment. Went back to find your peony photo. Right clicked on it then clicked on ‘open in new tab’ then clicked on that tab, dragged photo to discussions tab & dropped it in reply box. Not sure what hardware/software/search engine etc you use but may be worth a try.
Yes you guessed it right. I must have been reading a novel of that era when I 1st registered on here.

Edit: Photo resize works well from the phone.
It looks like the max size is 1600×900 landscape for my phone ?
