Euro LPG gas bottle

Can anyone please advise if I am able to use the LPG gas cylinders with the existing  bulk head fitted regulator.

I am currently in Germany and using more gas then I anticipated. I am happy to purchase a new bottle but wanted to check if I will require different fittings or regulator for the continental LPG gas Cylinders?

Thank you

I was able to sort advice from a mobile Caravan service engineer on site  and I required a SBS+ HD- SCHLAUCHLEITUNG - ANSCHLUSS G12.

In case anyone else may need to know.

are you staying in germany or moving on elsewhere? are you in a caravan or a MH.

the thing about continental travel and the gas situation is that cylinder fittings are different in many countries (france, spain, germany, Scandinavia) so you will soon collect an array of redundant cyclinders to carry around, to swap next time......so, whays to do......

    three choices really.....

bring enough uk gas with you (try 2x 13kg?)

if you are staying in one country, buy a local bottle and source a suitable adaptor to comvert the bottle end of your pigtail to fit .....you can then swap/refill locally...

get a refillable system (perhaps Safefill if in a caravan or Gaslow for a MH) and, with suitable filler point adaptors, ypu will be able to fill up with autogas/LPG anywhere in europe.

If this is going to be a one off, emergency or irregular need not requiring vast amounts of gas then you can get adaptors for propane and butane pigtails which allow connection of Camping Gaz cylinders which are the only pan -European (mostly) solution. Yes, it is more expensive but in an emergency it would keep you going.

Sorry that you are already there but it may help others.

    Butane adaptor (in my toolbox)

Doug, your solution is a good one, and we have a spanish 'jumbo' adaptor for emergencies and long terming should LPG not be nearby in Spain.

however, all these adaptors require connection to a std 'butane' 21.8 LH threaded hose, fitted to our (and most continental) vans.

uk vanners will generally only have a UK type POL 'propane' hose, so the continental adaptors wont fit....

    2 choices.....

get another adpator to convert the POL propane hose to a butane one, so that the continental adaptors ypu mention can fit...

change the uk POL propane hose completely for a butane one prior to fitting the continental adaptors....
