Motorhome pitching

Well there I do agree with you, Ian.!
I mean, obviously we don't use club sites as regularly as you, but when we do I'm more than happy to accept the club's rules and systems, including booking (and choosing my pitch when I arrive), pitching arrangements (just follow the warden's advice) and leaving (possibly after lunch on the last day if the wardens OK it).
I think it would be quite unreasonable to expect the club to change any of these longstanding arrangements if they didn't suit me!

The most important aspect of this is to 'ask the warden', that is what the rules direct us to do on both pitching and also those slightly later departures. For the former, some pitches, particularly ones at ends of rows may afford more opportunities for 'discretion'.

. . . or this new generation of camping explorers that even our once hallowed club cannot identify.

Thank you all ,for making a very amusing answer to my question, I have gathered now that some suffer from OCD and others are chilled to the max, I think I will just ask what I can do when I arrive at my first site, but once again thank you all for your input.

Thanks everyone for your contributions and welcome to the Club Mick1694. The wardens will be more than happy to help you with any queries when you arrive on site.
I just wanted to post the Club's ruling regarding motorhome pitching as there appears to be some confusion in this discussion - also a polite request to keep the conversation friendly, even when there is a difference of opinion.
The Club accepts outfits either being pitched nose in or reversed on to the pitch, however, the outfit, if reversed in, must be aligned with the marker post on the driver’s side and if pitched nose in, must be aligned with the marker post on the passenger side.
The above pitching is due to spacing, to avoid the spread of fire, there must be at least 6 metres spacing between facing walls of adjacent caravans, motorhomes or trailer tents and a minimum clear space of 3 metres between adjoining outfits in any direction.
There may be a handful of sites where the pitching needs are more specific to suit the site/layout.
If a motorhome is on an awning pitch and is not accompanied by a car and the safety spacing is adhered to, on request to the site staff, they can be pitched further over on the pitch to give them more space. This is down to the site staff to manage and not for the members to move the pegs without permission.
I hope this helps clarify. I will close the discussion now as the question has been answered. Many thanks.
