Innsbruck Airport to Camping Natterer See
Planning on staying in our Motorhome at Camping Natterer See near Innsbruck in May. My daughter is flying in to Innsbruck Airport to spend a few days with us. Whats the best way for her to get to campsite Is there a bus? Don't particularly want to take motor home to airport to pick her up unless its easy access.

Check with the site. When we were there there was a bus into Innsbruck from the site and back. if she met you in the city (via transport from airport) you could get the bus back together?
or taxi.
P.S. Be very careful at the motorway junction to get off for the site if it's the one I remember it was a bit of a nightmare just after so just be ready for changing lanes and being aware.

Stayed there a couple of years ago and used the public transport, which we found to be excellent.
Like most major cities, there's bound to be a connection of some description into the city centre from the airport. There's a free, return, bus service from the site to Innsbruck (from memory it runs hourly, but don't quote me on that!)
If you Google it, there are 3 options...bus (1hour 32mins) 8 Euro; taxi (15mins) approx 25-30 Euro; Walking (1 hour 15 mins) free. I would say the last option will definitely require you to be very fit!!

The public bus from the site, free for campers, goes into the heart of Innsbruck and stops at a bus station. Just along the same road is the train station so I guess between the two you should easily get to the airport by public transport. Regards, Roy

Sorry for being off subject, agreee with other posts btw use the campsite bus. Whilst your daughter is with you visit the Swarovski factory (excuse spelling, sure it's wrong) it's amazing! Dedicated bus service from aforementioned bus station! Even hubbie enjoyed it!

So the bus takes longer than walking !

It might depend on the time of arrival at the airport. The bus service from the site into Innsbruck is excellent but I am not sure if it runs into the evening if arrival is later in the day? Depending on how much time you are onsite before your daughter arrives I would ask at site reception as they are very friendly and of course speak excellent English.
I would agree that the Swarovski factory is well worth a visit. Unfortunately what you can't see there is how it's made as you are not allowed behind the scenes. The visitors centre is more like a massive art exhibition using crystals.

Thanks All for info daughter lands 3:30pm. Have googled postbus timetable looks like buses from Innsbruck are 16:55 17:55 and 18:20 last one so should be OK to meet her in town and get bus back. Thanks again. Less than 2 weeks to ferry! Can't wait
