Disappointed With Overseas Travel Service

I'm a tad disappointed with the Overseas Travel section as I have yet to receive my booking details and confirmation.

I booked the crossing to Le Havre with my two dogs on 16th March.  I also asked for Red Pennant leaflet and the Overseas sites brochure as well as booking details to be posted.. Nothing was received and I 'phoned on 21st March to ask what happened.  Apologies were given and confirmed that nothing had been sent out.  I received the brochure and leaflet the following day, but no booking details were enclosed.  Phoned to say booking details were not included, to be told they were being printed out that day.  To date I am still awaiting my ferry details.

On Thursday afternoon I contacted Overseas Holiday Insurance and took out Red Pennant.  All of the details arrived this morning.

Although I'm not travelling until mid May, I want to be certain that travel details are correct and I have sufficient time to make any alternative arrangements if there is a problem.. The balance of the fare will be taken in three weeks.

Hi Robbie, we always take the email option to receive confirmation and it's usually very quick.

Whilst I usually print off the confirmation and take it I can't remember the last time I was asked for my details as it seems that they go on your registration number so as you pull up at the booth they know who you are but, if you have opted for posted confirmation, it should be with you quicker than it has been.

Always book on line for Tunnel Confirmation and documents by email in 5 or so minutes. Always print off two and take with us but never been asked for them.  Just info for us.

Normally they are spot on, we receive our booking details as a PDF Doc attached to an e mail sent the next day following the booking, Any errors on the Booking Confirmation should be reported to the CC within seven days. No tickets are sent out anymore and more often than not you will be identified via number plate recognition as you approach the port check in.

I asked specifically for the ferry booking to be posted to me.

That's correct. I rang after booking to ask when I'd receive the tickets and told the confirmation email was also the tickets. I suggested they should consider block print on the email heading indicating it was the combined confirmation and ticket. It does say to take the confirmation to the port within the body of the text but I felt it needed to be more obvious.

I have always taken the email to the port. They have a quick glimpse but it is obvious they know who I am by checking my Reg. No. on approach.

This year for the very first time I have booked the ferry and first site in Brittany on arrival. This is also confirmed on the email so can I take it that the site will know who I am when I go to book in. Just trying to make sure.
