Forgive me if this is a daft question or if I am the last one to know. I have not been to River Breamish site since on an extended tour with my late wife some 20 years ago. I don't recall there being facilities at that time. Am I wrong? If not when where the showers etc added? Anybody satisfy my curiosity or correct my memory?

Alan

We are also off there this year, first went about 10 years ago and there was certainly a toilet block with showers then.

I wonder if my memory is at fault?

We went 2 years ago EasyT and the shower/facilities block is one of the best I have ever seen.  I asked the warden if it was new and she said it was about 10 years old - so presumably about 12 years old.

Nope, you're quite right. It used to have no toilet block.

New/old shower block is still very good, EasyT. Watch out for the Swallows. They like to nest above the door and may mean you have to take 2 showers!

Was there 3 weeks ago. Excellent facilities including two loos for use when the main block is being cleaned.

Look for the herb planter outside. It's full of herbs for the cooks use, a nice touch
