Line of Duty is Back
The new series of Line of Duty started last night. Looks as if it could be good.

The ending was a bit like we used to get at Saturday morning pictures when I was young!!!

Is this the end of DS Arnott?

At least you didn't say he would bounce back
Both Margaret and I commented that Lee Ingleby wouldn't be in the cast unless he had a bigger part as up until now he has been a bit anonymous but now one of the key players. As with all series of Line of Duty its very difficult to work out its final direction until the end and sometimes not then if it crosses over to the following series.

Well last nights episode ended with some surprises, my thinking of the guilty person(s) have failed me and now there is a mole within AC17 feeding the chief copper Hilton with information.
Roz is guilty of something but not sure what as she comes across as a good copper most of the time, confusing but loving it.

Great program one of the best on tv at the moment.

....but how did Roz overpower Tim? will there be a flashback?
was she helped by the masked man (not the Lone Ranger)?
does she ever dress up in a balaclava?
handy (minus the fingers) that Tim had just been to the DIY store.
is she covering for hubby or is he covering for her?
....and shes such a tease with the ACC, putty in her hands, lol.
...still, he's getting his own secret info from that naughty WPC.
Tune in next week for more exciting stuff.....
now, dont miss Broadchurch later....

I thought last night's episode was a cracker. Talk about turning the tables on Hastings!!! Unless I have missed something are we all assuming it was Roz's husband that attacked Arnott? Also, at this stage, we don't really understand what Roz's boss is up to and why he has it in for Hastings. The WPC at the end seemed a bit odd as she has always been a conscientious member of the team, there is obviously more to this that meets the eye but I suppose that sums up the series really!!!

Yes what a cracker,up to now it looks like Roz,but not so sure now.How do we know Roz is not trying to find Tim's murderer herself, but without implicating herself. the burn/cut on Roz's arm looks very infected, but so soon. The note on the printer, how do we know it was aimed for Roz to see,who tipped of the balaclava man that Arnott was in the office to see Roz's husband.
Unless a new character appears I am going for Hilton (Roz's slimy boss)especially now with the pregnant copper helping him.
Brilliant veiwing.

More twists and turns with Hastings under more pressure. We still don't know why the WPC was passing on information although I did wonder if Hastings was a bit suspicious of her starting her maternity leave early. I am starting to wonder if all this will be resolved in the next and last episode of this series? Perhaps the ongoing bit will be the corruption on the more senior officer?

He does seem to be of the right build.

Well poor old Roz well you have to hand it to her (!) she has kept her composure even through an amputation.Another character has made a appearance now in Jimmy Lakewell, and his number is on Roz's phone.
It has to be Roz + one other in the flat where Tim was murdered so who is she covering for.(IMO) Hilton?
Did not understand the video clip on Hilton's laptop though.

Did not understand the video clip on Hilton's laptop though.
Supposedly the dying testimony of Cottan when he was shot suggested that some senior officer was also involved with criminal activity and suggested his name began with H. The other senior officer who showed the video to Hastings is trying to frame him, at least that is my understanding.

Looking forward to the last episode of the series tonight, hoping all will be revealed.

Well there you have it. A few interesting twists although I was convinced the deeper police corruption, and those involved, was going hang over until the next series as it's done in the past. Perhaps elements of will, we will have to see. Excellent series as usual.

The only thing that may be hung over is the female AC12 member who passed on information to the chief constable. Then of course, with all the twist and turns, there is the possibility that "H" is indeed Hastings. Anyway, according to our local radio this morning, the next series is 2 years away. No more Broadchurch either so what on earth are we going to watch?

Yes excellent series, couple of questionable issues though, the package was found so easily along that lane, would of Hastings really have taken that shot of balaclava man with specialist fire arms unit in attendance.Loved the stand of scene when Hastings said "put the gun down" James only for DCArnott to call him Jamie.
It was different to see another type of ending with sentencing announced.
