Been away for a long weekend in the van on a CL.

We passed 2 club sites and 2 other cl's on the way to our destination, none of which were showing any form of the new signage.

Rebranding's going well then wink

Are you sure you didn't pass any with the new signs but didn't see them😂

We made a point of looking out for any of the signs, the cl we stopped at hasn't seen one either 😂

We were at Blackshaw Moor last weekend and they still had the old signs, but strangely the site was still of the same high quality, the shower block was immaculately clean, the wardens were fantastic and we had a great pitch.

Surprise surprise, it didn't affect our stay at all 😉

Chatsworth had the new signs. However they stood out so well that we had pitched the van before I realised I had not noticed them.😖 The OH assured me they were there though, and sure enough when we went out the next day they were, already looking rather faded.☹️

It's only a few months ago that new brown signs were erected at the main road directing us to the Caravan Club Site at Burrs

Rebrand? I would be interested to know why on the C&MC website the club sites are still referred to as a Caravan Club Site?

Probably presumably you are referring to the URLs?

I have just been to a CL, it has 4 signs indicating it is a CL, two old and very faded signs either side of the entrance and two just inside the entrance to indicate which track to take, one of these is the new sign and I must say it looks pathetic along side even the old faded ones. The new one looks too small and poorly made. Was it a rush job?

It is not the URL. When I open the C&MC webpage for one of the club sites, for example Buxton above the photograph on the webpage the club site is called Buxton Caravan Club Site. I've had a look on other club sites and the title is 'Caravan Club Site'. Surely it should be Buxton Caravan and Motorhome Club Site. Its just another example of a poor strategy to rebrand.

Ah, thanks for explaining further. It will obviously take time to make corrections to names and links on the Web site.

I doubt we'll ever know. And if we did there'd be a riot 😉 feedback on here hasn't shown much support but it's happened well have to bite the bullet and hope that they haven't emptied the kitty too much so they can't upgrade or acquire new sites.....

In the past week we've been to two 'Club Sites' where the new signs have been put up. Perfectly serviceable old signs have been replaced with new colour scheme signs. However, to save costs, the wardens have been given new 'tops' to wear but not new trousers!

Good example of keeping the costs down if members ask questions. 😉

Rebrand really is very bad the new signs look like makeshift signs, think the whole thing is a waste of money as is the new website on  which there are still lots of errors .I will no doubt vote with my feet and leave CMC.

Back from Brecon with new access signs. Nothing else changed as far as I could see. Same outfit by wardens. Passed Coed y Llwyn on the way and thy had the old CC sign at the entrance. No consistency despite the huge cost.

Glad to here it. I would much rather that uniforms were changed when worn out, rather than just so everywhere looks the same. That should at least help to minimise the cost of the rebrand.

Apparently, the uniforms were due to be replaced at this time.  I understand this was a consideration.

SIL and DD been today for MUM ,he works for a company that also  specialises in company rebrands, and the min for a company the size of the cc would be at least One Million pounds, probably more with the diverse amount of things the cc are involved in, he also says most companies who do a "re brand" can "hide" the costs, from "share holders"but most regret it as the cost is never recovered with extra buisiness,it as seems the case with the cc it can lose some of its core customer basesurprised,

I was at a regional q&a session earlier this month and a couple of interesting things came out about the re-brand. Martin Stringer - Executive Secretary - was asked how much it has all cost and said at that time the final figures were not known but all would be detailed in the accounts at year end, and presumably available at the next AGM.

Also Grenville Chamberlain - Chairman of the club - was there and was asked why there had been no consultation and it basically came down to trust! They didn't seem to believe that members or more particularly CL owners would not 'leak' the change before the February NEC Show.

Finally, and perhaps most telling, when it was pointed out that there were a lot of negative comments about the change on the Club Together discussion boards, the Chairman admitted he did not look at the discussions (but would not say why) so one can only conclude he doesn't care what members think.

This is ridiculous. of course it is understandable that the final figures are not known at present - the exercise has not yet been completed.

However, surely there must have been a budget set  - or are the management afraid to tell us in the hope that the furore might have died down by the time they do actually tell us the costs and benefits anticipated obtained

The attitude that was demonstrated is just how it was put to us when at the show on the second day, complete disregard for the members who are paying for it,

Disregard does not trouble me. The apparent amateurishness certainly does
