O.K.----What is the arrival time?

I don't understand your logic, Ian. If lots of folk are staying late (I'm going to assume they've checked with the warden that it's OK) then there's surely less choice of pitch if you arrive early and therefore less reason to do so?
Personally I'd be happy for the club to adopt a more flexible arrival/departure regime where there are no access difficulties, but as it stands, I'll go along with the club requirements regarding arrivals.
Remember though, at the end of the day, those folk who are staying later (with the wardens permission) are doing nothing wrong whereas those arriving early are ignoring club rules.

Ah, Husky, you have to watch other people on site very closely to observe all their faults and failings - so that you can write here and complain about them. You and I both know that by now!

Completely agree. We were on a a CC site earlier this week, at 11:50 one morning, two outfits were waiting outside the office. The site was half full/empty at best, common sense would have suggested they were both let on site ...... but the office blinds were down. Jobs worth springs to mind.
No access problems either. At Southport last year, we all had to wait outside the entrance like naughty school kids outside the headmaster office until the stroke of mid-day ..... there was even a sign telling us we'd to wait till we were specifically told that we were allowed in. A few days later when leaving, outfits were coming in at 11 o'clock. ..... you'd think there'd be consistency between wardens at the same site.

Personally I don't think that it is OK to arrive early unless pre agreed. However I don't think 10 mins is a great sin.
On some sites the problem is you have a couple of vans that are 10 mins early. You shrug and let them in as you have done the morning chores and poured your coffee. Next time they arrive 15 mins early and before you know it they are waiting at 11.30 or 11.15. If I am 5 mins early I expect to be let in on most sites but generally aim for 10 mins past the arrival time.
I know that in July 2015 I was about 20 mins early. I had put the wrong ref in Tomtom. I apologised on arrival and would have been happy to wait but was allowed straight on with a smile.

If you arrive early it simply means that you left early so next time leave an hour later.

I find it difficult to understand the difficulty in following in a polite request. As currently that is all it is a request. I suppose all it can be put down to is different attitudes. At the doctors and the dentist they encourage you to arrive early for your appointment. Sometimes you even get called in early, so I suppose it increases efficiency. However, at these places it seems the opposite applies, folk are often dashing in late.
Same with the local primary school, which we live on the route to. Parents dashing past kids in tow at 9:05. I wonder what their offsprings reaction to rules will be when they become adults.

I booked a site for Easter the other day and noticed the arrival time options had been updated where the arrival time was 1 pm.
13:00-15:00
15:00-17:00
17:00-19:00
19:00-2000
But for a 12 pm arrival site it was still the old options.
12:00-14:00
14:00-16:00
16:00-18:00
18:00-20:00
so looks like some improvements are being made.

I fail to see what all the fuss is about. We always plan our journey so as to arrive after the stated earliest arrival time - usually 12.00 but sometimes later. If others are flouting the rules and arriving early then it is up to the club to take action. If an early arrival takes the last hardstanding pitch and we have to use a grass pitch, that is life and not the end of the world. If, by the time we have set up it is late afternoon then it is time for a glass of wine. We are on holiday so go with the flow.

"Naughty school kids outside the Headmaster's office until the stroke of midday...". That sounds drastic action even by Caravan Club standards. Ouch!

I dont see a problem. I turn up when I arrive regardless of time. Invariably get in. If not can make a cup in the visitors car park..Likewise have no problem with late leavers on Sundays just like last sunday at Brecon. Plenty of room for those of us arriving that day.

So it is ok for you to arrive 20 mins early despite using TomTom yet earlier in this thread you basically said I should use satnav and stop somewhere when it shows I will arrive early🤔
On the occasion we arrived 30 minutes early we were travelling nearly 300 miles and coming through Liverpool, a trip we have done many times, and it usually takes at least 30/40 minutes late morning to complete our journey. On this occasion for some reason we sailed straight through without one single stop at traffic lights. Once through the tunnel there is nowhere safe to pull up other than the road to Wirral Country Park. The wardens understood and were happy to let us on rather than starting to block the access to and from the site.
