We have booked into this site later in the year and am looking forward to visiting this site and area for the first time, a bit of walking, cycling, sightseeing and a good real ale pub, with a local to the area pint

There are a number of micro breweries in the area. The dominant brewery is Robinsons of Stockport with their award winning beers of Unicorn, Dizzie Blonde and Trooper. Robinsons also do Old Tom, a strong ale which was been a world champion and is described as the 'dangerously drinkable legend born in 1899'. You won't see many drinking Old Tom because they usually end up under the table. Robinsons brew other specialist beers from time to time.

Buxton's a good site. There are so many places to walk [stout boot and dog's on lead country] and easy cycling on former railway tracks.
