Bonterra Park Spain in September - Info please!

We are thinking of spending some time at Bonterra Park in September and would welcome the experiences of the many other members who regularly visit this park. We are in our 60s and enjoy the sun and getting out and about too. Would a sunny pitch be better at this time of the year and is there much difference in the sizes of pitch? Our 'van is 7.3m long but we have a mover and can thus 'turn on the spot' to access the pitches, but trees do seem to be a problem on some/ most pitches? 

Are there any 'must see' places to visit? We would like to visit Valencia,  but are there good transport links to say Barcelona? I am happy to drive but we would also be happy jumping on a train if available which would probably be much quicker.

Any thoughts and recommendations would be most welcome. Thanks!

    Hi Colbur we enjoyed it, been a few times on our Spanish travels may even try it this September .Its very handy for local supermarkets Mercadona over the road and Lidl not much further,as regards to pitchers we tend to go to the left of the site after leaving reception and also there a decent restaurant,enjoy.

    We love BOnterra where we spend about a month each winter, along with many others. It's not been a CCC rally site for a few years now, but is constantly full throughout the winter. The site is well organised, and you will have no trouble accessing many pitches, although not all. The best ones are the hedged 'gold 'pitches, which are a good size. 

    As others say, it is close to the supermarket, about 400meters from the town centre, and about 250 m from a beautiful pedestrianised promenade. If you cycle, take your bikes, it is cycling heaven with designated paths north and south along the coast for several miles. 

    The local bus goes to Castellon, a small very Spanish city-but with plenty of opportunity for retail therapy. In winter the site organises days out to Valencia, Sagunto etc, but not sure if this applies in September.

    Many winter campers rate it the best site in Spain, but as you can see we're committed fans. Give it a try and judge for yourself.

    I have stayed there a couple of times with a 7.25 meter motorhome and I could get that on most of the pitches. The train station is a good walk away, bus stops much nearer. If you have a dog you can use neither. As said above good site for town, beaches, supermarkets and cycling.

    In the winter they run a coach trip to Valencia but not sure about September. If you want to visit Barcelona I would stay at Villa Nova Park not BP as the bus run from out side the site or the train from down in the town and it too far from BP in any case.

    An immaculate, extremely efficiently run site. As others have said packed to the hilt in winter with mainly Brits and , so I'm told even more tightly packed with Spanish in summer.

    Lovely views of the mountains from the rear of the site on the via Verde but you have to dodge the dog poo which is everywhere. 15 minute walk to the beach through a residential area and mid rise appartements And hôtels.

    We weren't impressed by the town but the promenade was lovely.

    We enjoyed our week there in January but not somewhere I'm likely to visit again . Much too urban. Just not for us!
