Our 2017/18 handbook arrived this lunchtime, great! Has anyone noticed the cover? As we members are aware the club has been re-named to incorporate motor homes as well as caravans. Wouldn't it have been better to have caravan as well as a motor home on the front cover and map? I apologise if I'm being rather sensitive and I appreciate motor homes need to be included in our club however let's keep it equal. Do any other members feel as I do?

Yes its been mentioned and No, I don't care. They could put 'Thomas the Tank Engine' on there and would make no difference to my touring.

I hadn't even noticed the cover! I just wish some of the very old site photos had been updated and looked more enticing.

Sorry but I think the new logo is very poor do not stand out enough.

The colours are not bold enough if you are trying to find site at nightvery poor design obviously who ever designed them don't caravan!

No doubt it cost a fortune .

With respect, that's nothing to do with having only a MH on the cover.  Did you mean to post in the other thread?

The cover of itself would not bother me unduly if I had a copy of this mythical beast. Glad to hear that it does exist and not just a unicorn

We received ours on Saturday, it doesn't bother me in the slightest what the front cover shows.  As a MHer it certainly wouldn't even have elicited a comment from me had there been just a caravan on the front cover.  What on earth does it matter; what bothers me more is that the Mildenhall site is still listed inside it, and as we now know that site is no more, although we have yet to hear it officially.

I was under the impression it would be today, from what has been posted on the Mildenhall thread.  Perhaps they're working overtime as we speak, and an announcement is imminent wink

I'm happy with the book - it's the map that I don't like.  IMO over the years it's become much too cluttered to be practical.

So I don't actually care if it depicts a flying pig on the cover.

Thanks for that TW. As a caravan user I could not make out what it was!!

Mine's still in the wrapper. As the previous two were until they moved to the recycling bin

A really useful enhancement to membership would be a paperless option at a reduced price. A bit like the C&CC do

The motorhome members have had to wait 110 years to get a name on anything, so I think it's a nice gesture from the club to put a motorhome on the new book. We are caravan members but we are all in the same club.

Ours arrived a week or two ago. It went into my bag of holiday stuff, just in case I ever need to look at it.

Didn't notice what was on the cover. Also didn't notice what was on the cover of its predecessor, which went into the re-cycle bin unopened.

You would think for advertising sake they would have shown a club site on the front

We got ours last week and for the first time I actually spent some time looking at it and the map embarassed found it quite easy to use, thought it was useful and will put it in the van when we next go away.

Question: why can't they produce the European touring book in the same way, the one we got years ago was so hard to find anything we gave up, has it got any better???

Our handbook, when we finely receive it, will go in the passenger door pocket in the X-Trail. Useful for final site approaches.

The map will not be used until December prior to planning another year
