i am looking for a camp site near to Dieppe that will allow me to book in late, our Newhaven Dieppe ferry arrives at 22.30 hours and we don't want to spend the night parked up on an aire.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am afraid I don't know Dieppe at all but your question is one which comes up regularly without any positive answer. There is an Aire for motorhomes but for a Caravan I think you can only e.mail some of the local sites - Camping Marqueval, Camping les Deux Rivieres, etc -  give them your arrival date and ask. If all else fails it might be the Auchan hypermarket car park at the Belvedere commercial centre.

Don't bother with Camping Dieppe Vitamin........we arrived during their 2 hour lunch break and weren't allowed in, so you'd have no chance out of hours.

You might try asking the company if you could stay in the port of Dieppe overnight.  And is that French time?  There are some large supermarkets not far from the port - but personally I would rather put the steadies down at the port itself if allowed.

PS in about 1995 I did that crossing and stayed at a campsite not far from the port but sorry to say I don't remember the name - pretty sure it was westwards from Dieppe - but I do remember it took a bit of finding.

I have emailed some local sites but as yet had no response, but will keep trying. the other alternative is LeHavre where the sailings are much better, along with the price £115 more than the Dieppe crossing
