To be a little more specific about our claim when the van was stolen.  There were two vans stolen at the same time from storeage - ours and another one.

We were insured by the CC the other van was not.  We submitted our claim together with the appropriate paper work, the loss adjusted reported and the whole process was completed efficiently.  We had a new van within about 6 weeks - and that included a hold up because of the availability of the van we wanted.

The owners of the other van, who incidentally had the same loss adjuster had to have a site inspection with the loss adjuster followed by a 3 hour interview (so the owners told me) and then they had to haggle about things, which resulted in delays etc.

When I heard that we both had the same loss adjuster, I actually rang him up and suggested  I had my interview at the same time thinking I would have to go through the same process.  I was told I would not require an interview.  When I questioned him the implication for the different process was the different insurance company.

We had an awning destroyed during a storm one night on a site, a phone call to the cc insurance the next morning resulted in a new awning arriving by courier to the the cc site the following day

    Hello Everyone

Thank you for your help with this. We finally took up a quote for £300 but not with the cc. Hopefully no claims and build up a no claims bonus to go with cc in the future
