Mmmmmmm good point and well made, guess there's no other choice than to drop the middle C then! 😉

Absolutely disgusting! blah blah blah
Rather than ask how you cancel your membership, why don't you just post a video of you burning your membership card. That way we will know how you really feel
I'm a member of this Club too and have no objection with the name change, so you don't speak for everybody (like you profess to do)
PS. Once you're over the shock and realise, it's not really that important, we'll see you on site again, very soon

I think you will find Aviva came about because Norwich union needed to encompuse the large amount of other companies it had taken over and people were not sure who they were dealing with ,so they changed its name,
Not just to destroy an internationaly known brand

Gosh, I found the new logo and name a shock as well!
Sorry, but I don't like the name or the logo, and that is that!!
'If its not broke, why change it?'
Anyway, life goes on and I expect we will all get used to it and we need to keep such things in perspective...........................it could have been so much worse, for example ' the Motorhome and Caravan Club!!'

I've been a member of the Caravan Club for 108 years now. I originally started camping in an Hessian Sack for many years where I met my first of five wifes on an holiday to Scunthorpe before we bought our first tent, We've had Ridge Tents and Frame Tents, we've had prop up, pop up and even blow up tents before buying our first trailer tent. We then moved onto Caravans, Folding and Pop-Up at first and then normal 2 berth, 3 berth, 4 berth and even a 7 1/2 berth. We are now the proud owners of a luxury Motorhome and the point I wanted to make now eludes me. Thank you 😜

Won't make a jot of difference though will it. I doubt the powers will be reading this and thinking... damn, we'll have to abolish the changes because the majority don't like it.
You'll get used to it

Twenty five years of membership, but as the years progress fewer and fewer signs of being a club for its members. Old boys thinking they are running it, steered by young bucks desperate to justify their salary.

I understand and have read some views on the discussion pages that some people think that running a CL is easy and money for old rope. It is not, especially if you do it well and give it your all!
Hi PF. I no longer use CLs. I used them a great deal when I had children. I always felt privileged to do so. I never underestimated the work involved nor the commitment. Well done that fella.
We tour using mainly club sites these days and move on every 5 days. Spend little time on site but still believe that CLs are important to the club and saddened that problems with the 'New Improved Club' with regard to its website have not been sorted after, what to me, seems an awful long time.

Okay, how about the Parkers and Pitchers Institute. 🤔

Perhaps there is a need now for a new club made up of CL owners and the people who want to stay on them. Nothing fancy, just a yearly handbook with a map, and a wee website which lets you book any of the CLs.

Hessian sacks??? You were lucky We used to dream of a hessian sack. When I started in 1066 you were fortunate to sleep in the skin of a recently dead sheep. And then the bloody Normans kept shooting arrows at you

Something like this perhaps?

I could go on but I won't💀

What consultation ? What a waste of money !! Far better to improve pitches and toilets eg Tewkesbury or to reduce pitch fees and membership costs
We are not a "commercial "set up,hence do not need re-branding.
Also complaints department need to accept complaints re overseas sites they have in brochure. Totally unresolved complaints froma French site last year, just batted back to the site The club has in brochure so should ensure up to standard & not transit camps

Skin of a recently dead sheep and Normans shooting arrows at ya? You wa lucky! We used to dream of sleeping in a recently dead bloody sheeps skin with bloody Normans shooting arrows at us! My earliest recollection of going on ta oliday wiv mam and dad was spent two weeks in the sewers under a typically working class row of Victorian tenements and whore houses but you never heard us moan ................
