Well what a pathetic excuse for an Announcement !!
Immediately I realised what has happened I texted my
friends in Fuengerola & told them of the name change.
Straight away back came the response :--
And What's Wrong With Caravan, Motorhome and
Trailer Tent Club ??!!
Just got back to the County Palatine & made a
brew to help me cool down !!
The only person I met who knew me was ==== wait
for it ==== wait for it ==== the salesman on a certain
North Walian cheese stall
Apart from that and the youngsters trying to pacify us
with Cinnamon flavoured Chocolates -- which I as a
card carrying diabetic had to refuse and then a Club
rebranded ball-point pen ( now that I did accept )
there were no "Takers" for the A B M Coffee &
Danish offer !
All in all the only good part was the easy run down
the M6 to E4 car park.
Don't think I will bother in future!

It does not appear to have stimulated the Wednesday visitors either AD
I was hoping somebody would have "Done A DSB" to help lighten the atmosphere on CT a bit! Lots of nasty stuff flowing today, so I'm hoping some of Thursdays NEC visitors have something fresh to chat about.

Been to the show today, very dissapointing.
Yes, loads of nice caravans and motorcaravans, even a sweet speed boat!
But our main reason for going was to grab some bits and pieces for the imminent arrival of our new caravan. So armed with a fistful of cash, and a credit card we bought............... nothin! apart from a dinner service. Oh we could have ordered stuff, but we really wanted to take it back home with us.
We would like to see an area dedicated for accessories, with a reasonable amount of stock. I am aware of the logistical task this may take, but I`m sure the suppliers would reap the rewards for their efforts?
Anyone else agree??

Although I was there on Tuesday, Club day, I was surprised at how little there was to tempt me to spend, G.C..
If I spent £70 in total that would include my cheese and the fuel for the day !!
I think, unless the "Powers That Be" offer me a very good reason to go { A K A bribe !} I've free-parked at the N E C for the last time .

I am inclined to agree with you ABM.
I think the next time we go, will be to just upgrade our caravan to see if any deals can be had

I'm always disappointed in the number of stalls with gadgets and accessories. That's what I go for. I don't buy new caravans so gadgets and accessories are the main draw
I swore that my visit to the NEC in the autumn would be my last I entered through the wrong door and ended up in the motorhome section. It took ages to find my way out. I felt like I was in a famous episode of Father Ted
(in order to be inclusive I'm not interested in UK caravans either)

Sorry to say No to the Whisky, SS, I'm very close to being teetotal now ! I stocked up on "Speciality Beers" like Doom Bar etc etc, at Morrisons in April & I've just checked and there's at least a couple back in the cellar ( cupboard !! ) still !
I am inclined to confuse ( or just con ) folks when I'm at Kinlochewe Club Site. Collect some fresh water about an hour after a rain storm ( plenty of them up there ! ) and put some in a glass and you cannot tell the difference 'tween Water of Life and just Water from the appearance ! If you don't believe me just read the notices on the Amenities Block !

Brian you are just the person who's brain i want to pick.Kinlochewe club site is it a easy drive from CCC site on Skye,on the map it looks easy but how restricted are the roads going via the shortest route.Had booked onto Morvich as old van too long for Kinlochewe but new van is a lot smaller!!.

Its not a hard place to get to, SS. If you could see the Gi-normous motor the wardens had the last time I was there you would not worry !!
I've only got a midi-length Fiat Camper ( 5:41 metres) but I am far far from being the largest vehicle up that way,, believe me !!
According to the 2013 AA road map I'm using on here its classed as a Scenic A road and is The Advised route for Large vehicles etc, etc going to Applecross ( You will pass the turn off for Bealach Na Ba a large point used for turning in bad conditions but is a place I stop for fotos of the warning sign, like the sign a bit earlier " Stromeferry -- { No Ferry} " about as daft a name as you can get really )
Take it steady and you should have absolutely no worries at all.
