What will you do when you renewal comes around? Dilemma.

Embrace change, it's that what all progressive businesses implore? The Club is making all the right noises in an effort to get with the times and attract a new generation of members.

Without sounding too blunt, and I apologise if this sounds personal, but pandering to the very long term established membership isn't going to be good for the long term prospects of the organistation. We're none of us immortal you know wink

....or finally realising that the club doesn't listen and isnt really a club.

It the club was interested in member few it could easily have sort the views of the members through an online survey/vote etc.

If 40% of new members are motorhome owners it is obvious they feel at home with the club, investing £49 a year in it. Just feel money could be invested in more important things. How much will be spent on this exercise?

I don't mind the name of the club being changed, but just remember it was originally for caravans. This must not change , we stayed at the bogner site last year ,and while booking in  there was a lady !! ranting and raving at the warden complaining there was no hard standing for her, I hope this dos not become common place ( I have nothing against motorhome owners)

A recent report came to conclusion that a company's biggest asset is its brand. Does anyone remember McVities changing to McV.? Probably not because it was a complete waste of money costing millions. I suggested some time ago that to reflect the membership,we should change the name to the Caravan and Dog Club, but was being facetious.

Only just got my 20 year sticker, that's going to be a waste of about 50 pence straight away.

The club may as well be named the caravan, motorhome and tenting club. The use of pup tents has now grown to the use of full tents. This is against the idea of the club being for caravans, though motorhomes are basically caravans with a motor and are acceptable, why a change of name is required seems unnecessary. More and more full size tents are being erected next to caravans even those with an awning. Don't get me going on the growth of the use of gazebo's
